iPhone discharge a lot while plugged in!

Since last week my iPhone is discharging incredible fast, 50% in stand by in. 6 hours, without background app or data/wifi.

Today I plugged in my phone at night, and before midnight it was 100%, but in the morning it was 65%, while plugged in.

It seems that just charge if I use the phone or let some app running.

Does anyone has the same problem? Went to an apple store yesterday and Genius sad that my battery is fine and didn't find anything wrong, already did resets and nothing changed.

What to do about?

You have proven nothing. Believe what you wish. It is hogwash.

And BTW - you have no idea what type of charger the person on the post was using. It is true that using off-brand chargers can result in exactly this sort of thing. That's why Apple built in a change to iOS 7 that prevents you from charging with anything except an Apple or an Apple-Certified charger. End of story.

From what you discribe, I have the exact situation on my old iPhone 3GS and that is because the battery capacity has gone down so it cannot hold full charge anymore.

I think you will find that I have proven a point that chargers are a fire risk when pluged in, when you are asleep and something unfortunate was to happen, you would not notice it.

Please do not assume that I am doing this to be annoying, products with undetected faults/flaws can cause fires and can be leithal.

Paranoia strikes deep, my friend. And that article also does not prove anything. We have no idea whether the charger he was using was an Apple or Apple-Certified charger. Likely it was not.
