No Equalizer icon

Well, I do--all the time. I switch music genres often. If
Set the EQ for the songs in that Genre.

same problem here, cant open the equalizer window. It only opens with a blank window that cant be accessed only if I hide and reopen iTunes the blank window will show up ...

hello???!!! a horrible workaround to get the equalizer going? I have switched from stoopid M$-Windoze to Apple to get rid of all this crap! and because I have experienced in my professional live a lot of excelent working Apple Systems. I am not offended by minor bugs in Apple software, can happen any time to anybody, but this is higly annoying! I am realy disapointed...

Try this.

Open iTunes>Preferences>Advanced>General and check "Keep Mini Player on top of all other window".

It's counter intuitive, I know. It seems this preference might also have been name "prevent iTunes Player from staying on top of all other window".

This will allow the equalizer window to appear on top of the main iTunes window.

An easier workaround is:

Click "Show Equalizer" under the View Menu
You won't see the equalizer
Click "Zoom" under the Window Menu
The equalizer might show up as a small window.
Click Zoom again.
The equalizer now might show up as a full size equalizer.

Yes, its annoying and a bug. But it's still a rockin' program that just undergone a major revision. I agree, it should have been more thoroughly bug tested. But the rapid progress that Apple is making is amazing. There was a day not too long ago when we all were wondering if Apple would even survive. So, I'll take the bugs and the Uncommon major f *ups such as this iTunes release and be thankful that I have an Apple option out there that is so dang innovative and progressive.

Apple is generally pretty good about coming out with
udpates to fix issues like this. So, I'd expect a 7.0.1
within the next week or two, if not sooner.

anyway, I've got my blank white window persuaded to show the rulers again 🙂

while the equalizer is turned on (view/show equalizer) a "Window/Bring All to Front" will ... bring all to front 😀 including the blank equalizer. Then a "Window/Zoom" will zoom the equalizer to the small version... and vioala, one can see the friendly brushed metal... another "Window/Zoom" will bring back the rulers...

but only as long as iTunes is runing if stoped and started again, I've got the same problem as before ...

I want iTunes6 back :P, but the system wont let me, because it has version 7 in its system :P

Hmmmmmmm, with 7.0.1 the equalizer now shows up just fine for me. No issues any more with the problems I was having with it in 7.0.

There is no longer an equalizer button only a menu item.
