I get an error message "X-Apple-MD-Action_message" when trying to download purchased books from ibook store to Mac computer. I've tried to signout, deauthorized the account and restrated the computer. Still not working.

I too am having the same issue and the usual steps to fix didn't work (see original post).
I Have just spoken to apple support and this is common, go to settings then iTunes and App Store, log out of account turn iPad/iPhone off then back on. Go back to itunes and App Store and log back in. Mine now works fine now and it was both my iPhone and iPad affected since latest iOS update.
