Mapping Service?

Hi All

1 G data normally last me an entire month. Since Last week something is using up all my data and normally under Cellular you can see a breakdown of what uses your data. Right at the bottom there is a link called System Services and if I click on that I can see Mapping Service is using up all my data? I have turned off everyting possible that I think can have any impact to this but its still using my data. I have even turned off location services (which was not turned off before and previous months I did not have any problems) but its still using up my data?

Please help???

Hello Everyone,

I've experience the same problem as everyone else. I have an iPhone 5, OS is 7.1.2. All my apps cellular data is off, except for whatsapp and yet Maps Services uses 200mb, 100mb each night, resulting in no more data 😟 I'm also with Vodacom SA and have just logged a complaint with them. We are currently on an Apple forum - why is it that Apple hasn't responded to any of our queries??

And when is this going to stop, I didn't take out a contract with Data to have to buy data in the middle of the month...

I've just noticed that we are all having the same problem since Apple launched this "NEW" Product for iPhone and iPod....

Apple launches a mapping service for the iPhone and iPad

Apple recently unveiled a new mapping service developed internally for its

portable devices like iPhone and iPad. It stands as a direct competitor to the

popular Google Maps service. This new mapping service, integrated speech

support system of the Siri software and can also be used as an automotive guide

that provided alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. Integration with Siri will also help to

compete with the Google search engine, for example by providing specific directions to find

restaurants and shops

So is this an Apple problem or a Service Provider Problem???

HI,

GO to settings, then go to iCloud and then go right to the bottom and turn off find my iPhone. You will need your iCloud password to turn it off.

after that the mapping services stopped chowing my data.

I Then went back to settings, then clicked on iCloud and I went to the bottom to check if find my iPhone was off but it was still on or somehow turned on again. But... Mapping service still isn't taking my data. So it looks like it has worked.

I Am monitoring the data and it seems like it has worked for the last few hours.

hope this atleast helps someone..

Why is Apple not taking out any solutions ???? Im An apple user from Nepal And just started having the same mapping services issue from yesterday. Its rapidly consuming my data package and is ******* off. A great deal of wastage. Apple Do SOMETHING for your loyal brand followers.

You are not talking to Apple. This is a user to user forum hosted by Apple, but Apple does not participate. The solution has already been posted in this message thread by other users, so it would be a good idea to read the other messages.

I am in Brazil and using TIM, on my iPhone 4s, which I first subscribed two days ago.

This morning I woke up to find that during the night 700mb were used for "mapping services" and my data plan was already depleted.

Is this a provider problem? I haven't seen any other person from Brazil posting on the forums.

I have used the same phone in Greece and in Belgium the last 3 months and now is the only time I am having this issue.
