Album Covers for CD Music?

According to Jobs, the iTunes music store will allow a person to download the album cover for iTunes 7 cover browser even if one has just downloaded it off the CD rather than bought it at the iTunes Store.

IF, of course, one has an account with the store.

I do have an account. I want to download album covers for some music I downloaded off the CD rather than off the music store. Anyone know how to do this?

I have a related question , I have downloaded all the album art that was available on I-Tunes for my library. Then for my remaining CD's I went to Google and found album cover images; copied and pasted them into my I-tunes library .That worked well and I now have art for all my CD's in my album browser .My problem is that when I connected my I-pod to the G5 to update and transfer all the artwork , it only copied about half . I have the 30Gb version 1.2.1, it has been updated to the most current I-Tunes program , and it did download many of the album artwork covers I copied from Google . So why did it not copy them all?

For some reason iTunes 7 does not update your iPod if it only has had artwork changes. You can correct this by making a small change in each album that was not updated. Select ALL the songs of a particular cd that has the artwork missing, right click the highlighted songs, click get info, Yes to multiple changes, change the volume just a little, select ok. Now iTunes will have to update every song that had that volume change and therefore it will now update the artwork as well.

Amazing....worked like a charm.....Thank you very much. I am still puzzeled in that I know that there are CD's that I pasted art on and that is all that I did to them and when I connected the pod to computer to update, it did transfer the art , and yet not on some , Oh well this fixes my problem and that is great ..now off to edit about 50 or so CD's .....

to get the album art when the itunes store does not have the cd that you imported on itunes, you will need to go to google, and click images then type the desired artist or album name along with album cover after the name of the artist or album. then click search and click the album cover that you want and then right click it and click on save to computer. save it to a file that you will be able to remeber. then go back to itunes and highlight the tracks on the album that you saved the art for. then right click the album and click on get info, then double click the blank artwork area and import the picture file into it and then click save. it should apper in the album.
