I just purchased National Treasure and Pirates of the Caribbean about 2-3 hours ago. It got to the point in the download where it was finished downloading, and it said "processing file." At this point, iTunes quit responding and locked up my entire computer, which forced me to manually shut it off and restart it. Now, my movie downloads are gone. I have some sort of file on my computer (maybe a temp file? I have no idea), but nothing shows in iTunes. What should I do? I spent $20 bucks on these movies, and want to be able to watch them.

I've got like the same problem. I bought "The Spirit" and "Batman Forever" and I hit download. They were done but it said i had stuff still downloading. I pressed exit and it said that when i opened itunes again that it would ask me to resume the downloading. I brought it back up and they were gone. I hit the check for downloads link and it said everything has been downloaded. I checked my purchased history and it says that I've got them. I spent $25 on them and if don't get them i'll be much madder than i am now
I am having the exact same problem. Bought Twilight DVD and received a free iTunes download for the movie. It's done downloading but has been "processing" all night! And when I do play what has been downloaded, it freezes for a milli-second every few seconds. Did you ever get your issue solved? I would love to finally get this movie on my iPod!
theres a bunch of movies i have downloaded and they play fine on itunes but they wont transfer to my ipod... the videos also have a blue dot next to the names...what does this mean? please help!
I had the same problem as you had. I added a digital copy of yes man to my library. When I tried to play it, the screen was gray and there was no audio. I could see the chapter photos but I couldn't play them.
I found the video file in the Itunes music folder under movies. I then tried to open it with quicktime, at which point it told me that my computer was not authorized to play the file. So, I logged on to my itunes account and authorized the video on my computer and now the video works.

The blue dot means you haven't watched them. As soon as you play just a few seconds of the movie, the blue dot will go away. You can right-cick on it and change it back, using "Mark as New".
i have the exact same problem! and i dont want to be charged for the movie! what should i do?
I got a $25 giftcard for itunes so i bought the movie Sweet Home Alabama. I bought it yesterday June 15, 2009 at around 1pm. I have dial up so it takes a while. I went to get on itunes this morning and the movie was completly gone from my downloads section. A message came up saying that the browser timed out or something like that. There's still a balance of 14.45 on my account. The movie was 9.99 so with tax it was 10.55. So it seems like i pretty much bought nothing. Do I get the 10.55 credited back to my account?
I have purchased many videos and movies awhile back. Now Im able to go on my purchase history and shown everything I purchased, but when I go to the movies section, it's blank. All my movies are delted and not backed up so I'm not able to get them back. I tried reporting the problem, but the only thing it will let me report are the television shows. Can anyone help me out on how to get these movies back or help me be reimbursed to where I can get the movies back somehow?
