iPhone 5 hangs installing ios 7.1.2
Anyone else having issues? My iPhone has stalled at about 65%, not moving for the last 20 minutes. Just showing the white apple symbol and the white line at about 65%. Any suggestions?

Held home and lock buttons down until phone turned off. Turned phone on and installer finished and phone booted up. Says it's up to date. Whew, was hoping I wouldn't have to go the rest of the day without a phone.
Same situation here. My iOS 7.1.2 update hang for over an hour on my third generation iPad Retina. After reading your post I rebooted and it successfully completed the install and booted normally with no additional anomalies.
Both my iPad and iPhone are stuck in approximately 25%. Been like this for 15 minutes. I am in no hurry so I am waiting a bit longer before i restart the devices manually.
Mine did the exact same thing for over an hour and a half. I did the home button+power button trick and it came back up. Same thing on my ipad. They both say that they are on 7.1.2.
Same here, only at 25%
Same here - glad I found this forum! Everything seems fine and updated to 7.1.2 after I forced a shutdown and then turned my 5S and iPad Air back on.
same here iphone 5 got stuck on 7.1.2 update and a reboot solved the problem.
my lock button hasnt worked since like 6 months (4s) so i had to restore phone to factory. Im hoping i am able to restore from back up after that
Wow! you guys saved me,
Same here, I was stuck at 20% for more than 30 minutes. then google then this thread and now I am done after the reboot.:)
Thanks for the postings. I had this exact same issue with my iPhone 5 and iPad 4. They were already running at IOS 7.1.1 so I assumed it will relatively painless, like the other 7.1.x were.
Same here, halt @ 20%. Did a hard reset. check the software update, it shows the 7.1.2 (up to date.)
called the apple hotline , no one picking up the phone... they must be busy answering the same question.
Not sure what is the impact.
Same here, had my iphone5 overnight in the 7.1.2 'update' stuck on 40%, hate it when one fix introduces another, looks like another OS I used to know and makes me feel like a betatester...
Make sure to push the off-button well, to remind you, there's an apple replacement program on it...
Glad I'm not the only one. Although I didn't know they hired Microsoft programmers now. 👿 Used the same method. Waited for about 90 minutes to be sure it had to be a glitch and then forced a reboot. I would like to have an Apple explanation for this, if possible. Thanks.
+1
Much like described here - https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6426562?answerId=26223831022#26223831022
Happened after the iphone reboot pop-up. Progress bar on iphone stuck for at least an hour at about 1% remaining. Had to do a hard reset (pressed lock button and home buttons several seconds to get the iphone to turn off and restart. Seems OK so far afterward, but I'm concerned whether there is any corruption in the install.
Great, it works.
