iPhone 5 hangs installing ios 7.1.2
Anyone else having issues? My iPhone has stalled at about 65%, not moving for the last 20 minutes. Just showing the white apple symbol and the white line at about 65%. Any suggestions?

Same here. My iPhone 4S hung for 2 hours installing 7.1.2, but holding down the Home and Lock simultaneously restarted it, completed the install, and it's back to functioning!
Same thing here. My iPhone 4S hung for 30 minutes during the install. Found this thread, did a hard reboot and the phone showed that the current OS is 7.1.2. Thanks!
Yes, same here on my iPhone 5. I had to hold down the home and power button at the same time like everyone else mentioned here. My wife's phone is hung too so I will go reboot hers now!
Bummer my 5 hung for like 2 hours during the update process. SO then I found this thread and took the chance and rebooted. I always though if you interrupted an upgrade it would brick the phone. BUT it rebooted and shows 7.1.12 in installed. bummer I waited 2 hours.
Thanks Benbo. Your solution worked for me too.
I wish this happened to me but when I tried to reboot while it was upgrading it bricked the phone. I had to connect to itunes and my only option was to do a factory reset and now I have to restore it. Very disappointed that Apple would release an update that obviously causes a lot of problems...
My iPhone4s hangs at 25% and couldn't reset/restart at all. Resorting to factory reset and then restoring from iTunes now. I was just telling a friend that iPhone never hangs, and asked her to go get one. I guess I jinxed myself 😝.
iPhone 5 hung up on restart at 80%, all night! It was connected to the computer, and shows up in iTunes. Thanks to this post I did a hard restart, everything is perfect.
Apple... ¿Any comment?
Same here in The Netherlands. The install stopped at +/- 65 %. Pressing both forementioned buttons turned the iPhone 5s off and on. After entering my PINs, the home screen appeared. The new version was there ...
This is so un-Apple.
Can anyone help me? I am having the same problem, but my power button does not work so doing a hard boot is not an option for me...
If your sleep/wake (power button) doesn't function, I'm not sure you can do anything. You can try connecting to itunes and restore it to original, if itunes recognizes it -
Same here with an iPhone 4, thanks for sharing the solution!
It's getting worse every time, apple software quality in free fall...
If you you can not power down, let it run out of battery.
it may take some time though, as the phone is cold, doing nothing.
+1 thanks for the help, 7.1.2 hours at 70% ish reboot with power and home and reboot fine thank you
had the same problem with my iphone 5s when upgrading to 7.1.2
stuck at 70% for about 1 hour, pressing home and power buttons simultaneously solved the problem
started with 7.1.2
Thank you!!
I had the same problem with my iPad 2 when upgrading to 7.1.2.
Stuck at 40% for about 1 hour. Then I pressed home and power buttons simultaneously for some seconds. I think it solved the problem (it started with 7.1.2).
Thanks!!
