Holidays Calendar switched to Hong Kong!

Today I updated Mavericks to 10.9.4 and the Calendar application started showing the Honk Kong holidays calendar instead of the US holidays

Apparently there's no way to configure which calendar appears when selecting the "Show Holidays calendar" check box in Calendar's General Preferences...

My Mac Book Pro is correctly set ot the US locale and if I open Maps it gets the correct location (more than 10000 miles from Hong Kong...)

I seached through all the .plist files and Calendars data and nowhere found any reference to Hong Kong

Is there a way to configure the default holidays calendar? How Mavericks select the country?

I Live in New Zealand and I also am 'subscribed' to Mexican Holiday calendar. Not by my hand. This is very annoying. I cannot delete it. I can only un-tick it. Along with my very bad iOS 7.1.1 upgrade that causes my iPhone battery to rapidly go flat and also causes my wireless connection to be almost useless, I am very unimpressed and upset with Apple. What is going on Apple? It is not 'just me'. I have many friends and colleagues with the same issues. The general feeling here in NZ is not good for Apple.

On iOS I noticed there's finally an option to select English as the language, and Finland for the number formats. The old option of showing dates in Finnish while language and number formats are in English, is now called "Finland (Finnish)".

Choosing the old option gives me Hong Kong holidays calendar, and the new option with Finnish number formats with English dates gives me Mexican holidays calendar. Clearly something is broken in the recent OS update, but I'm having a fiesta not having to look at Finnish month names on an otherwise English system. 🙂
