iOS 7.1.2 wifi problems after update (iPhone 5S)

Since upgrading to 7.1.2, I've been having trouble connecting to our company WIFI, which are all Cisco.

At first, I had to "Forget" the network, and it re-joined. But soon after, it ceased. It's not a signal issue as our entire campus is riddled with WIFI points and there's one near my office.

So my question to the community is has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you contact Apple Support and/or are there other reports of these problems?

Thanks.

i too am having the same issue, i have contacted both AT&T and my ISP and they both tell me that the issue is no just myself as it is happening to all the people that have made the mistake of upgrading their software to the latest and by far not the greatest update, i am still trying to find a 'cure' for this issue, i have foun d that an issue is simply placed inside of your backup of the iDevice that has 7.1.2, you need to restore and start as a new iDevice. You must not click the option that allows you to use a previous backup because as i said, it is the backup that was broken or not properly coded. I am still looking for another answer to this question and i will come back to this page and post what to do so you can fix your device. I hope i can find one within the next 24 hours because the is killing me and several people due to either give up a wireless connection or give up extremely valued data.

Hope to find a solution to this common problem soon.

Thanks,

I am having the same issue as well. If this is a huge problem for everyone then what are we going to do to upgrade to the next patch? If we can't connect to our wifi or wireless networks to download the upgrade then how are the users without data or other forms of internet connection going to get this issue fixed? Every time Apple releases a new IOS patch there's ALWAYS something wrong. I don't understand how fixing a very small issue with one patch causes a bigger issue the next patch. I feel like they don't do any beta testing for these patches at all. Anyways I'm sure everyone is very frustrated and upset at this situation. If Apple doesn't get this problem fixed I'm probably going to jump ship to an Android based product.

GET THIS FIXED @Apple

This is bulsht. I've gone through Apple's stupid checklist, including start/restart, hard starts, and a "Reset Network Settings" which of course erases all my wi-fi locations and passwords that I've accumulated up to now.

This problem started with the iOS 7.1.2 update, clear and simple. I f**king hate this. I cannot connect, my kids cannot connect, and I can only get work done sitting down in front of my computer. Hey Apple, listen up. I am NOT an Apple fanboy/sheep who is locked into your ecosystem. Fix this problem NOW or I'm done with your products. I don't want to use Android but will switch in a heartbeat if you people don't make this right.

You folks KNOW this is related to the update, no matter what your "genius'" say. Fix this or I'm gone (yeah, that means no purchase of the iPad Air or the iPhone 6, both of which I was contemplating but now?)!

He's right. No two ways about it. This has gone on long enough.

It's wrong for a vendor to supply an update to their product (and encourage you to take it) and then shy away from any problems it may have introduced to their previously functioning product. The constant implications "everyone else is fine", "you must have done something wrong", or "just do a full restore and see if that helps" just add insult to injury.

Apple used to make a far superior product, that always "just worked", no need to fiddle-f*rt around futzing with settings and restoring from backups. The simplicity, usability, and ease-of-mind was what set Apple apart from the more technically engaging competitor's solutions.

These are very expensive, advance hardware devices. They come with the expectation that you won't have a bunch of hassles to use the product as intended. Having to drive somewhere and traipse through a retail store to resolve spurious problems is definitely a hassle. Something you'd expect from a cheaper phone or tablet.

If you took your car to the dealer for a recommended oil-change and service interval, you'd be p*ssed if they gave it back with random drivability issues. If they did a firmware upgrade on your Audi and now the radio or climate control are sometimes wiggy, and they said it's not their problem, you'd be irate and take your business elsewhere.

So yeah, ditto on the "Fix this or I'm gone", including a new Ipad and phone.

This is getting every irritating! Every other wireless device in my house is working except for this MFing iPhone. It worked great before the latest update and now I can no longer use wifi! Thanks Apple. This is the first and last device I will ever buy from you. After calling and trying to get "support" I was pretty much told that it was my router that is preventing my iPhone from connecting. So I went to McDonalds, Starbucks, and serveral other places with free wifi. They connect right away and when you go to use the internet........... NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess all of these other places have are having router issues as well. It couldn't be this overpriced POS you call an iPhone! FIX IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's not a hardware issue. My iPhone crashes when i try to look at the settings of the WiFi of the mobile internet settings. It also was working proparly untill after the update. I've setup a seperate WiFi-network only used by my iPhone and it will conect once in a while. Friends around me are expirience the same problems... so all iPhones crashed at the same time? That's a bit odd, dont you think?

Not True. It is not the Hardware on anyone's phones. too many people are proving your theory wrong. Good try though.

This happened two updates ago, and the last one here is doing the same thing.

It is to prompt boosts in sales revenue for the newly released iphone 6 in October.

Sales are suffering , so first it was the iphone 4s older models older versions, and now it is aimed at iphone 5s as well.

Planned Obsolescence can backfire. Profits before People. Defrauding Consumers for Profiteering.

um, next.
