iOS 7.1.2 wifi problems after update (iPhone 5S)

Since upgrading to 7.1.2, I've been having trouble connecting to our company WIFI, which are all Cisco.

At first, I had to "Forget" the network, and it re-joined. But soon after, it ceased. It's not a signal issue as our entire campus is riddled with WIFI points and there's one near my office.

So my question to the community is has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you contact Apple Support and/or are there other reports of these problems?

Thanks.

Call Apple, tell them your issue with the Iphone, or simply go the APPLE Store Location nearest you... google can be your best friend, it has a map link.

then make an appointment. take your iphone, they will help you to see if it is under warranty, if not they will more than likely know the issue of course since everyone has it at the same time. they helped us, twice , for that, we will stay committed to a service first people first company.

hope this helps

After one online chat with Apple UK support & a visit to the Southampton Store they had me reset my phone to factory settings twice. Forgetting the network, resetting the router. Odd that these actions did not solve the problem. I went back to an online chat with Apple and voiced my utter disappointment and frustration that none of them would accept or acknowledge that the IOS 7.1.2 update could have caused my now very hit & miss wifi capability. They tried telling me the attena was damaged, I asked them how they knew this considering the phone had not been taken apart and both diagnostic tests had been clear. I was then put on to a supervisor who could not answer this question and instead gave me 'a one time exception' to have the phone repaired or replaced. I took it in to the store last weekend. The Genius Bar guy again tried his spiel about wifi being a bit hit and miss etc etc etc. I did not accept his explanation of the problem and he had to grudgingly give me a replacement phone. Once I got home the new one (still on 7.1.1) picked up full strength wifi straight away. Same thing at work. I'm so glad I stood my ground. I knew it was that update that ruined my phone. What gets to me most about the whole thing is how they just stuck to the script. No admittance that there was any problem at all. There was no way I was paying to replace it when it was their update that did it in the first place.

Just bought a Ipad Air last week and updated to 7.1.2 and internet keeps dropping out, apps will not download and it may be my imagination but battery seems to reduce very quickly. My wife also has an Ipad (which we have not updated) my boys each have iPods and all these devices are working fine. In addition my laptop connection and Samsung tablet also work fine.

Tried all resets etc...nothing has worked, if anyone has suggestions please advise

Apple please resolve ASAP as my £479 investment seems a waste

Why would they believe it would be an update to their wifi router? when everyone has the same issue, and everyone's router is working fine with everything else? a simple rebooting the router would fix the issue, you are speaking of. But Obviously , that is not the case with all these problems. It is the UPDATE from apple is all. Go to their apple store and have them repair or replace the iphone .

call your apple corp, then make an appointment to your local apple store, take your products in, and have them repaired by apple or replaced, it is an apple update issue.... dont let them tell you otherwise, and last but not least, dont make it a big issue of whos fault it is. just get the item repaired or replaced.

people are willing to help when you ask for help , rather than fight over blame.

Since my last update, I've becom a lot wiser at local repairshop.

with updating over wifi the phone literally burns it's wifi and Bluetooth chip. So the hardware was broken (by the update!!). They replacet the chip and it's works fine for 2 weeks now. So if you still have warrenty, run to the applestore and get your phone replaced/fixed. No warrenty, Apple will probably do nothing for you, so go to a local repairshop.

PLease don't shoote the messenger now 😐

Same issue. As everyone has very spotty wifi since this update. I have no issues with Bluetooth. Its just the 2.4 ghz side that fails for me. 5ghz side works decent ( shorter range). I thinK it's real bs that apple doesn't address this. I have other apple devices not updated to 7.1.2 and they work great. I dont understand why they don't address this. mine is not under warranty so I basically screwed unless ios 8 fixes it

Also having this problem. I am often out of phone signal region so need wifi access. My phone was out of warranty so I have just bought a brand new handset under advice from apple that it was a hardware issue. New phone connected to wifi fine then I did the update and once again no wifii. I'm absolutely livid as apple told me I needed a new phone and evidently I actually didnt! So frustrating.
