What is that? Safari 7.0.5 freezes because of this "gkbisd"

I noticed my safari hangs/freezes for about 1 min and I noticed that I get these logs in Console while this happens:

I'm seeing the exact same error and it's because of a Safari extension.

I brought up the error console (Safari's "Develop" Menu) and there were a bunch of errors coming from the Evernote web clipper every time I loaded a page. I disabled ALL extensions and both console (gkbisd: Unable to collect cdhash....) and Safari error console message stopped happening. I then re-enabled all extensions and tried disabling only the Evernote Web Clipper and everything still worked fine.

So bottom line - it appears some extensions need to be updated to play nice with Safari 7.0.5. Hope this helps.

Sorry stamatgeorge, I was a little hasty with that last post. The problem went away for a while then came back.

The real issue is the gkbisd process itself, which apparently is new with 10.9.4. See this thread:

gkbisd Unable to collect cdhash error code 100024

I followed the process of deleting the (presumably corrupted) database so it would rebuild, and that too only made the problem go away temporarily.

I looked at my laptop (a Macbook Pro) and it wasn't having this problem. Eventually, I downloaded the 10.9.4 update .dmg file from Apple's Support site and re-installed the 10.9.4 update manually. This issue appears fixed, or at least it hasn't come back in the last 24 hours. Hope this helps.
