Safari 7.1 Seed 1 Developer Preview
This update just appeared in my Mac App Store pane in Preferences.
I'm not sure if this has appeared in error or not and if I should go ahead and install the update.

There are reports that the Safari 7.1 Seed 1 was released to all public users by mistake. Hence why it's not longer available to anyone. For those who saw it, like myself a few other people and actually installed it. Well we now have a super fast Safari that has it's extensions disabled. No biggy for me as my only extension that I have is eBay Manager.

Will ebay manager not work? Did you go into preferences and enable it?
Oh you're right. I was under the impression that "disabled" means that even the person testing could enabled it. I simply click on Enable eBay and all is well.
Now I have a Safari that is super fast and fully functional. lol

I didn't want this Safari 7.1 Seed 1 Developer Preview but it seems it was installed automatically with my autoupdate setting enabled. I don't think this was supposed to be a public release. Is there anyway I can roll back or revert the changes? Jobs would not have been happy about this! 😠
There's nothing wrong with Safari 7.1 Seed 1. Other than the fact it disabled your extensions. Which you can re enable them.

Actually it broke my Muse App from the Apple App Store and my RSS Notifier App with it's RSS Reader. Looks like issues with 3rd party interaction with Safari's resources and libraries.
It appears WebKit is broken.
It appears WebKit is broken.
Well, It just slows down my computer, and I have a blue ball rolling all the time, I didn't have that before.
It has been installed automatically. I want my old Safari back.

Open up disk utility and check your disk permissions. Some are finding that the installation is causing permissions issues. After running verify then repair, the problems are fixed.
Thanks, I will try it
I repaired my permissions but still have issue with the Muse App from the Apple App Store and the RSS Notifier App from the Apple App Store. I think this all maybe related to Apple blocking older versions of Flash and thus affecting WebKit dependent apps.
For those who really don't want the developer preview have anyone tried a) to use Time Machine to roll back, or b) download and install the 10.9.4 combo update, or c) try and grab a version of Safari from someplace like Softonic or Macupdate. Personally I am going to just stick with this update, don't use extensions and it seems as fast as Safari always is.
This prerelease version of Safari freezes up when I'm trying to go back one page; it's also slowing down my machine severely. I have tried to use Time Machine to remove it but the system prevents this saying it's required by the operating system. I'm currently repairing permissions to see if that fixes it.
