I had to interrupt update all in List View each time because the cooling devide (ventilator) got louder an louder by the second also the CPU in activity show (my translation) went into bright red very quickly. In MyPodcasts the update all takes place within about the same time as it did before though the header telling me how many stored ones I have and other info has become meaningless.
Today I checked on my old MacBook which still runs on 11.2.2 what the update promised to do. Podcasts weren't even mentioned neither was iTunesU which Apple by now lumps together.
Apparently they felt sure that whatever they altered it'd have no influence on podcasts - Thursday has gone by and they haven't come up with an update.
They certainly deserve lots of rewards for their diligence and competence and whatever else there is.
I will not touch the List View again before they have come up with an update that mentions either podcasts or iTunesU. Apparently they also had a mistake in iBooks after the update 11.3. For that they provided an update Sunday last. The difference is of course that iBook customers spend money and podcast enthusiasts probably don't (I don't since I have never yet seen a podcast offering that interested me that wasn't for free. Glorious BBC certainly doesn't ask for money and for their stuff I'd gladly pay.
My conclusion while I wait patiently for Apple getting generous enough to repair the damage done is that I am no longer the kind of customer Apple wants.
... which means I will not spend one more cent on their hardware ... Before I let myself being treated like a free-loading unwanted customer I'm even willing to switch to Microsoft. Or Android once audible will have come up with an app for that system, currently it's only Apple and Microsoft and at audible I spend money gladly.
