My first Apple product in early 1981 was an Apple II+ with twin disk drives and a color monitor. My boss was so impressed with it that he bought me an official Apple Desk, complete with sidearm. It was such a nice piece I kept it all these years and recently gave it to my son for his iMac. Here is what it looks like today. Anyone remember this item? [It was expensive, on the order of $800 if memory serves me well!]
Hard to imagine the (FW? TC? FBI?) crime lab springing for a MacTable. Nothing Apple ever made like that was ever inexpensive. Premium $$ for Premium Products.

Apple didn't make it, it was a 3rd party item which licensed the use of the name. Part of a package deal with a piece of equipment.
I agree, Apple did not make the desk, but one small correction: I did not buy the computer and the desk at the same time. I bought the computer first, a month later I ordered the desk. Hence, not a package deal, totally separate transactions. The computer, drives, and color monitor were purchased from a local authorized retailer (50+ miles away from home) while the desk was ordered from Apple in Cupertino by telephone.
