YSloader.exe and distnoted hogging CPU
When I start Itunes (currently using version 11.3.0.54, 64 bit, Windows), YSLoader.exe (32 bit) starts using ~14-15% CPU (I guess it is maxing out a thread/core?).
The only way to get it to stop hogging CPU is to close Itunes, then kill YSLoader.exe (or distnoted, see below) using Task Manager.
If Itunes is open when I force close YSLoader.exe (32 bit), then another process takes it place as the CPU hog: distnoted (32 bit). This process also sticks around a constant CPU usage of 14-15% until I kill the process.
When I force close distnoted, it's replaced by YSLoader.exe and so the loop continues until I close Itunes.
I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of Itunes using these instructions:
I also tried "netsh winsock reset" - didn't help.
I've tried playing around with different sync settings in Itunes, enabling/disabling wifi sync etc, nothing seems to help. It doesn't matter if my Iphone is connected to the computer or not.
I have tried disabling my antivirus temporarily (Kaspersky) - this made no difference.
So right now I simply have to avoid using Itunes, or at least close it immediately when I'm not using it, which is quite annoying as you can guess.
Using Windows 8.1 64 bit
If anyone knows a solution or have some tips to try, it would be greatly appreciated.
