Significant battery drain after update 10.9.4

Hi, I have a retina MacBook Pro late 2013. After I update my OSX Mavericks to version 10.9.4 I noticed a significant low in battery performance: it drains much faster now (I used to stay unpluged for 10h before recharging again, but now I can only stay for something around 6h). I also noticed that it is taking long to fully recharge the battery. What happened to my computer? I already did the procedures for resetting the battery (fully charged, then let go down to almost 0%, then fully charged again) and it didnt change the situation. How can i solve this? My battery counts now 140 cycles.

Same issue on early 2013 rMBP. As others have mentioned, the machine runs a lot hotter than it did before the update. I've also reset SMC et al, with no improvement. I even did a full restore at the behest of the Apple Support folks, but that didn't help either.

Same problem here... MBA 13 mid 2012, battery life around 1 hour after update. Fan runs constantly, didn't before.

I have the same issue on my MBP 2010. does anyone have any work around? My battery is new (20 cycles) and lasts 2 hours, 3 tops.

The genius bar isn't going to be helpful. I put in a brand new battery, followed the instructions for charging it properly and here, just a mere 2 hours from 100% I am at 59%. This is unacceptable. I used to have a lot of respect for Apple, that has faded considerably with every new OS.
