How do I remove GoToMeeting?

Some time ago I installed GoToMeeting on my iMac running SL 10.6.8. Afterwards, every few days I would find three copies of their icon on my desktop. I deleted the folders and any "GoToMeeting" files I can find on my drive, but it still pops up every few days. I can I permanently delete it?

in order of appearance, these will remove all the above mentioned files directly in the terminal:

NOTE: these commands do not make use of the trash and whatever they delete will be gone forever right then and there. - YOU WANT TO MAKE SURE that I haven't introduced a typo anywhere.

rm -r "

~/Library/Application Support/CitrixOnline
"

rm -r "~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/CitrixOnlineWebDeploymentPlugin.plugin"

rm -r "/Library/Preferences/com.citrixonline*"

find ~/Library -iname "com.citrixonline*" -delete

Don't know that I'd use words as strong as "virus" but it sure does act like one. Basically, this app gives folks the impression it's a browser based but with its embedded files, it behaves more like malware than a web-based business app.

A real shame. Great concept great tool except ... for those sly little embedded files. Can't think of any other credible, legitimate browser based app that is this devious.

Your explanation is fantastic. Managed to find all the stupid 'bloatware' attached to my MAC and delete. It's worthwhile saying for the amateurs like me that you need to click on 'Finder' and then click the 'Go' on the top of the screen (the bar - whatever it's called) and then click 'Go to Folder'. Then copy and paste the '~/Library....' links.

Thanks a lot.
