Linc Davis doesn't get nearly enough acknowledgment

So, I've had a few occasions to post questions on these forums, but more often when I have a problem I find that someone else has already worked it out, and quite often the best answers keep coming from the same source: Linc Davis - the admin's hero. This guy is everywhere, patiently dealing with all of Apple's foibles as well as our own, wading through the thousand lines of code posted by unfortunate newbs, and generally putting out a big ol' smackdown of clear-minded brilliance from which we all benefit on a regular basis.

If you're one of those many for whom Linc's work has made even a smattering of difference, then please give a shout out to this largely unsung hero.

Thanks all,

Paul W.

I agree,

Many more people also need a great tap on the shoulder too.

I Hope people would take care of putting the "This helped me" and "this solved My problem" as well as coming back to tell how they solved their own more often.

Often, I really wonder why I bought so many OS X Server e-books ...

... maybe I should just have to compiled Linc's work.

Ditto!

I came across this thread when I was searching the name "Linc Davis" trying to get more information about this person. He ("he" is being assumed) has intentionally, and unintentionally, helped me so many times I just had to know how he gets his knowledge of Mac.

I have to put Linc up there with Thomas Reed, James Pond (R.I.P.), and Topher Kessler. I live in a retirement community and it is because of individuals such as these that I am able to help so many other people with their Macs.

Thank you!

LInc Davis is without a doubt the pinnacle of information in the Apple Forums. He was instrumental in helping me set up my OSX Server. Without his patience and knowledge I would never have been able to accomplish the setup and execution required to make it run properly.

Fthat or that and many other answers Linc, I thank you.

Glad to see so many users giving adulation to Linc Davis!

Linc Davis is a legend!

Everything he prescribed, was clear, understandable, easily followed and WORKED!

My wife and I are three dubyas Rusty Rover Tours dot com in Prince Edward Island. If / when Linc comes to Prince Edward Island as a visitor or guest (I presume he is not an Islander) he and his entourage will be given a complimentary tour of Our Island.

@drpabloc - Nice to see your offer of a tangible thanks to Linc as well!

An amazingly brilliant problem solver ... and one dedicated Dude .... without doubt! Can certainly serve as an inspiration to those who sit on the fence, realizing that they probably have something to offer their community, but they just never quite get around to it ... oops! .. I'm very sorry. I didn't mean to talk about myself in this post! :-)

Thanks for the inspiration, Linc!
