Printing

My wife's ipad4 stopped printing to our Epson WF-3520 about the time she updated to iOS 7. Since then I bought a new ipad2 and updated it to iOS 7. It won't print using the print button. When I do that on either ipad it says it can't find an airprint printer. I can print on mine going through google cloud. My MacBook Pro prints wirelessly fine so I don't think it's a printer problem. Do you think they will start printing when we update to iOS 8?

Two different mechanisms. Printing from your Mac or PC requires printer specific drivers. AirPrint does not which is why you have far fewer print options than on your computer. This is why I say it may be that AirPrint is flubbed up on the Printer. Especially since you say printing directly from your Mac and over Google cloud works fine.

Some more questions, just in case I'm wrong :-)

Have you also tried power cycling the router?

Are you using DHCP or fixed IP addressing on your home network?
