13" Retina Macbook Pro slight trackpad lag

I just got my new retina macbook pro 2 weeks ago, 2.8ghz i5, 8gb RAM, 500gb storage.
It has been running smoothly whatsoever, but now i am noticing a slight lag when i move the trackpad. It only occurs, sometimes, if i let go of the trackpad for approx. 5 seconds or more, and i have to say that it is a very brief (<0.5 seconds) lag, but very annoying over time when you start noticing it.
To me it seems like a UI lag, because i have no other problems with the trackpad - the lag only occurs during "the first touch" so to speak, the only real way for me to describe it is, as if the trackpad has to wake up when it hasn't been used for a few seconds. I have already tried to reset PRAM and SMC - and no background processes seem to be eating up CPU.....
Any thoughts? Is this common behavior or?

Thanks in advance!

Same issue here with my brand new MBP mid 2014 Retina. Incredibly annoying!
Contacted apple support 4 times and they had me go throughout troubleshooting.
The thing ended with them asking me to go to an apple authorized store as the problem may be hardware related.
I have no authorized stores in the country I'm in. Moreover, as this solution is solved by the simple addition of a usb, it cannot be hardware!
I also contacted apples engineers via feedback!
This NEEDS to be solved!

I totally agree. The problem occurs on all new 13" RMBP models, it's just a shame that so little people seem to notice it, or at least take action, and point out the problem to Apple.
And indeed the problem should be easily fixed. I am not a software engineer, but can't Apple just make the trackpad and keyboard input run with the same settings as when a USB-device is plugged in, even when it's not...

But i don't have my hopes up high, Apple aren't as concerned about debugging as they used to be... 😟 - They have bigger things on their mind (iPhones bending and iCloud getting hacked n' stuff... lol)

I have a Macbook Air mid 2013, and there is no lag on my internal trackpad or keyboard.

I am however, having the same problem with my external Apple magic trackpad, and my external Apple Keyboard. If they are untouched for about 1-2 seconds, there is a VERY noticeable lag at first touch. Up to halv a second, every time.

I tried:

-reset pram

-safe mode

-beta 2,3,4,5 and final Yosemite

-plugging in another mouse or hdd using usb

-disable external keyboard and only use the external trackpad (to see if the bluetooth connection was overloaded)

-disable all network devices and transmitters nearby, like router, phone, etc that could affect bt connection

-Move away from any potential disturbance sources like monitor, that could interfere with bt connection

++

This is really making me annoyed, and rendering my workstation useless.

Hoping this issue will be resolved fast!

edit:

Using my internal trackpad, there is no lag. Very smooth and responsive.

After the initial touch with lag, the external trackpad is also smooth as butter. It's just the first touch, when "waking it up".
