I DO NOT want my iPhone 5S to delete my e-mail on my mac. I have a imap.mail.yahoo account. Is there anyway I can delete mail on my iphone and not delete it on my mac?

Once again, read the posts. I would like to set up a POP account with the settings I have previously listed for sbc NOT Yahoo.

Apple Mail will not let me MANUALLY enter a POP account. When I put in my e-mail and password in create accounts Mac Mail automatically goes out, finds the Yahoo imap server and sets up the imap account with Yahoo.

Your post read:

I guess I am not being clear, Apple MAIL will not let me set up a POP account. When I enter e-mail address and password it automatically sets up an imap account. Mail version 5.3

Can't tell which account from that.

No matter, now I know do this:

Choose Other as the account type, enter id and password, press the option key down, the create button will change to continue, you will be able to enter the settings manually. Whenever you see the create button press option in order to bypass any automatic intervention.
