Let's face it.
The real reason for iPod Classic's discontinuance is because it actually makes Apple's iOS (which they treasure so ***** much) pathetic as a music device.
(I put the *s by the way)
First of course is storage. 160 GB is large enough to house months worth of straight music.
Second. in a speed-test to get to the song you want in a large library of songs, the wheel and click method beats the finger on screen approach...
Third. iPod Classic OS was simple, to the letter, and did exactly what it was designed to do... play music... as in actually did the thing it was best at. (sure it had other knick knacks, but on a whole, when you could just dock the ipod inside your work-station playing the device for hours on end and get through your day carefree... this really does beat any of its competitors.
Okay fine. It doesn't have a touch screen... wifi... play games..(I mean beyond Solitaire..) It doesn't take phone calls... let's see... Unless we remember the iPod Nanos (the long skinny ones) it doesn't have a camera.... nor a built in Speaker... And it runs on a Standard Disc HHD as opposed to a SSD.
Let's help give you a few suggestions for the "New and Improved" iPod Classic X:
