Buy iPhone 6 in US （A1586）

I bought an iPhone 5S last November. The store was out of contract-free T-mobile phones. No, problem, the guy in the Apple Store just picked an AT&T version, removed the SIM, pressed a number of buttons while starting it and voila! No more AT&T locked! Just popped in my SIM card and it worked both in the US as well as in Sweden.

Apple official line is most likely what KiltedTim and modular747 are writing. Unofficially magic happens in the Apple Store. You just need to ask for it.

Are you sure on this ?. I believe Sprint phones cannot be unlocked even if you bought it at full price from the apple store. Can you please confirm ?

Sprint phone purchased at full price definitely unlocked oversea.

That means that if I buy a full price sprint model iphone 6 in an Apple Store I will be able to use my iPhone with a Spanish Carrier' simcard?

I finally bought a Sprint model A1586 in an Apple Store in USA. I activated it with my sim card (spanish carrier) and it works perfectly. It's international unlocked. Also the 4G works fine.

Last question 😝 sorry to disturb you but sprint A1586 is A1586(CDMA) right, and the carrier you're using in Spain is CDMA or GSM like will that sprint model support GSM too

A phone sold for any CDMA carrier will NOT work on ANY OTHER CDMA carrier at all.

The Sprint phone can only be unlocked for use on non US GSM carriers by Sprint for currently active Sprint customers in good standing. If the phone is not active on the Sprint network, Sprint can NOT unlock it.

I think the model A1586 is the only one which has cdma and gsm. My carrier is gsm.

basically I want an iPhone 6 that works on TDD-LTE band 2300MHz as I want to use it on Airtel India's 4G network for I'll be there for an year or so. Is there any way I can get a fully unlocked A1586 version with which I'm free to choose between different carriers and also be able to use many other foreign TD-LTE and FDD-LTE band in Asia and India too

And please can you confirm from which Apple store did you buy it in the US
