iPhone 6 contract-free

Does anybody know if the t-Mobile contract-free of iPhone 6 is the same thing of an unlocked iPhone? Cause I'm from Brazil and I wanna pre-order an iPhone 6 for me, but I'm not sure if it will work here in Brazil, cause we don't have t-Mobile here and I don't know if the contract-free will only work with the t-Moblie SIM card or if it support all carriers.

Well, you should worry about warranty because you won't have any and you'll have to get on a plane and fly to the US if you have problems.

Also, you will not save as much money as you think, because the US charges local taxes and sales tax and then you may have to pay import duty on the phone when coming back to Greece, so it could work out that you won't save any money at all.

The phone will not be compatible with 4G in Greece due to frequency differences, but if you are happy to have a phone that you have not warranty for and cannot use fully, then go ahead and knock yourself out.

i had similar case as original post, but my new iphone 6 is a gift from USA relatives. and they are bring me in Nov to HK. they claim they bought a contract free iphone u for ne. So does it mean I can insert a HK SIM 3/4G network sim card and use it in HK?

I am not worry about the warranty as I always take good care of my cellphone useless the problem caused by software or hardware fault. much appreciate if someone can help to clarify this for me… thank u...

No it won't because a contract free phone is not the same as an unlocked phone. If your relatives are bringing a phone to HK for you and it is not until November, you may be lucky and the unlocked version might be available by then in the US, so get them to buy an unlocked phone and bring that, but not a contract free phone because it is not the same thing and will not work.

In a forum in my country there was a member who lives in US and he can chat with the Apple. The Apple guy who chatted him said that the T-mobile is locked for the other networks inside US.Outside US,he said, there is no problem with GSM networks. The same thing happened last year with the 5s/c so i don't want to tell you that will 100% work but i will take the chance.!!
