You guys that keep looking for the holy grail of screen protectors, that cover "the whole screen" are going to be very disappointed, and/or pay a lot of money for very little.

The curved body of the iPhone 6/6+ make this near impossible, or, at the very least, cost a lot of money to do so.

But WHY do you really need this type of coverage?

What is the real risk of having a very, very small gap between the screen protector and a good case that wraps around the iPhone and provides an edge/lip on the front???

I think there are many good combinations of case and film screen protectors that will serve you well.

My personal choice, which has been working very well now for a month, is:

I'm sure there are other combinations that may work as well. But, IMO, looking for a screen protector that covers 100% of the screen, including curved edges, is a futile effort.

Good luck to you all!

I ended up ordering this one - for my iPhone 6 from Screen Protectors UK - It arrived quickly and does what its says - Cover the iPhone from Edge to Edge with no gaps - it wasn't cheap but I am happy with it.

I got a tempered for my iPhone and iPad and my mom got one for her Galaxy phone and tab. Hers was $1 mine was $8 for the phone and $13 for the ipad mini. Just using a glass protector eliminates about 90% of the reason anyone feels they need a case to begin with, which is to protect the screen from shattering. Having an extra layer of peel off glass sitting on top of your iPhone 6 screen means that if your phone goes tumbling to the ground, the trivial to replace protector is what will crack, not your iPhone's hard to replace screen. Unless you run your iPhone over with a car or hit it with a hammer, a glass protector pretty much makes your iPhone screen invulnerable. You can get it from eBay or Amazon, or research from Google, one thing, you must read reviews first.

There are many excellent tempered glass protectors for phones. I know the best ones in general.. They are:

  1. Body guard
  2. Zagg
  3. Moshi
  4. Chevron
  5. Tech armour
  6. Armour suit
  7. Extreme guard
  8. Amzer
  9. Ncase
  10. Mobilize

I Strongly recommend the Maxboost brand. As soon as I received the Maxboost screen protector for my iPhone 6 I was excited to try it out. It came in an awesome and stylish packaging where it included a little card to take bubbles off, a cleaning cloth and an alcohol pad. You have to be very careful while applying this and I really recommend you visit Maxboost website to check the video there.

Upon installation I didn't notice any bubbles and it was really easy to do so. I am really impressed with how clear the protector is, you hardly notice it is there and it does not affect the sharpness of the screen. It does reflect a bit of light while looking at the screen if you are outside but you certainly are able to use your phone.

So far the glass seems to be of great quality and I haven't got any chips or scratches. I have installed this protector over a month ago.

What makes this protector better than the other ones that are out there is that even though it doesn't cover the whole screen of the phone (due to the problems of the curve that we are all aware of) it is still hardly noticeable as I said before and the relation between the price and the quality is the best of the market. People say when something bad happens "You pay for what you get". You do in some cases but in this case you pay for something that you expect to be good and in the case of this protector it will really exceed your expectations as it exceeded mine. It is cheaper and better than several alternatives that you can get in this website.

Overall it is the best protector you can get for your money and to protect your phone in order to obtain the best resale value in the end. To finish this review I would like to tell you that I've had no problems with my case and the protector. I use Apple's Leather Case.

I was provided this product for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

If you are in the UK, i've found this company good for tempered glass with my 4S, 5S and will be getting one for my iPhone 6. Quite cheap and last for as long as the life of your phone (well they have with mine!) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VIKING-SHIELDS-APPLE-IPHONE-6-GLASS-SCREEN-PROTECTOR-T EMPERED-EXPLOSION-PROOF-/111464697198?pt=UK_Computing_LaptopAccessories_RL&hash= item19f3d04d6e

I think you should go with a film. it's cheaper and provide basic protection when u drop your phone. I think toughened glass is an overkill. If you really smash your phone hard, an extra piece of glass is not gonna help you. I bought my iphone 6 screen protector over www.canaloo.com. Cheap and fast shipping. I'm excited for my iphone 6 arrival. hoooooooooooooooooooray!!!

As nice as they look, there's a fundamental problem with the screen on the iPhone 6 (and 6 Plus). The glass curves at the edges, which means you will not get any type of screen protector to cover the entire screen (and arguably the edges and corners are the most critical areas).

F=ma and the new iPhones both have a bigger m than the 5s. Drop tests are already showing these new phones to be more vulnerable to the screen shattering when dropped, even from waist height. If you really want to protect that screen, the only option I can think of is a case that's thick enough to prevent the screen from ever coming into contact with the ground, should you drop it. It's a shame to put a big, clunky case on these nicely-designed phones. Here's hoping for sapphire screens on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

YYou have obviously have never had a tempered glass screen protector. To say that film is better, well I dont how to say how wrong you are without being rude. Same for protection, you think the film would give more strength or protection than glass? How does that compute in your head? Tempered glass protectors are FAR SUPEROIR THEN ANY FILM. they are also not expensive. 5 bucks all over the web

I ordered and installed a Mime Feather (0.15mm) today. The fit is not the best. It looks like the Tech Armor fit posted by Klephilantro. However, I received an email this AM from Mime saying they are redesigning the fit for iPhone 6 and will mail out new ones in two weeks.

That said, the installation was easy and I would be very happy if the protector were a little bit wider to cover the entire face. I previously used films and this does seem rather thick to me at 0.15mm. I could not image using one that was more than double this in thickness. I use a protector primarily because I keep my phone in my wallet and I have scratched the screen before when I went unprotected.

RIght now it seems every screen protector (tempered glass or film) stops just shy of the start of the screen curvature. This means they won't protect the most vulnerable parts of the screen. And a screen protector that stops half way across the screen just looks stupid - it's very noticeable.

What's needed is something like a single sheet of invisible-shield-type material, cut to wrap around the entire phone, starting from the screen. It would have to be precision made with some clever cuts to account for the curvature at the corners - and it would probably be a difficult install. The only other option right now is a case with sufficiently-thick edges to ensure nothing ever comes into contact with the screen.

I would wager screen-breakage will be the Achilles heel of this particular iPhone model.

Im disgusted to say the least that i went to a apple store and bought what i was told was their "superior" screen protector (id bought one at Telstra day of 6 release wondering why it didnt fit the entire screen) and was told that the telstra shop one was inferior - now both my superior and inferior ones (total cost $40) are both deemed INFERIOR by me and a total waste of money. This has never been the case for iphones. I understand the screen is bevilled and that it may peel off etc but seriously a couple more millimetres would have sufficed. If anyone can direct me as to where i can purchase a bit bigger screen protector id be much oblidged. cheers 🙂
