Spigen Clear film has always been my go to film since 3GS phones. They use a Japenese film which makes huge difference as these films are similar to tint film and they have hardness rating and some are cut too big for cases. Now with 6 and 6plus we have 2 of each in our house they cut the film to make it easy. I sue hinge method to apply you can google it. End up with not one speck of dust or mark. Must work in dust free are with good light and good cleaning materials. iKlear has the best chamois.

Blows me away that apple says no alcohol yet sells Bausch and Lomb which comes with terrible chaos leaving lint all over but cleaner is alcohol based which removes olephobic coating real quick.

My wife picked up a Verizon 64 GB silver/white and they gave her $200 for iPhone 5 so for $130 out of pocket they give her charger, case master case and a 6 pack of screen protecters which stink. they cut it on top below the top hole you see on white phones. I put the film on 3 phones for 1 day until spines arrived today. Excellent fit edges will not touch case or have issue when wiping. I had my 5s in spigens front and back screen protectors and even with the back in 3 pieces lasted a year in and out of pockets, etc and was mark free.

Lots of cash in aftermarket for iPhones as we have a bag of case and a few films left we are passing down to coworkers. I did have 2 a red and black Apple leather case. Really liked them but the red lost color from all the suntan oil I use in summer on beach. The Black held up well and will probably get one for 6plus. I go for looks and slimness on case the tech 21 mesh is out I saw it at Verizon today. Slim but silicone type case get to sticky for my hands in our warm climate. Also went black for first time I think since 3GS. It looks smaller on the Plus.

Good luck to all.

I have to agree with Lawrence Finch on this. Even though I just purchased two new iPhone 6's for myself and my wife and I want to protect them, the only real purpose of such protection is for something catastrophic happening to the phone, and if that happens, both the screen protector and the display will likely be damaged. The Gorilla Glass (ionized glass) on the iPhone 6 is definitely better than any screen protector and I haven't found a screen protector yet that doesn't detract from the beautiful display on an iPhone. A complete display replacement on an iPhone 5S is $150 and I can't imagine it being much more for the iPhone 6 should it ever be needed. Additionally, AppleCare covers display breakage from dropping. I'm keeping mine naked.

Hi and good question. I found this thread by googling the same question you asked for the iPhone 6 plus I am planning to buy.

the screen protectors I have been using in recent times are the glass ones from spigen with the rounded edges. I have this on my iPad air and I have installed them on my wife's iPhone 5s and the same for my niece's.

http://www.spigen.com/brands/apple/iphone/iphone-5s/iphone-5-glas-tr-nano-slim.h tml

i came across these when I was looking for something for my iPad Air. I bought this and those stated above "just in case". I found out how effective these can be a few months ago when my wife slammed her car door on to her iPhone 5s that had this on. the screen protector cracked. The phone bent/curved about 7degrees because of the impact. Because the phone screen itself did not break but just had a stress fracture in the edge because of the bend apple replaced the phone free of charge. It very much looks like this glass screen protector took the brunt of the impact and saved the phone and me a few hundred bucks.

The apple genius mentioned two things to me:

1: the iPhones are designed to bend quite a bit as opposed to just snap; and,

2: if you are going to get a screen protector don't bother with anything but a glass one

lookin around for a protector for my upcoming iPhone 6 purchase I too can see two or three issues. So far the glass protectors seem to not cover the entire screen as per other responses above. I believe they also go over the front facing camera for whatever that is worth. That may not be anything new. The other consideration is as per drop tests found on YouTube I see that the glass protector MIGHT not at all prevent a screen crack if the iPhone is dropped in a way the edge hits the floor causing the impact to push the screen into cracking. Hence I better get a case too. In that regard I have been happy with the spigen Neo hybrid cases as they for me are great as they are quite slim and light and offer a medium level of protection that is RIGHT FOR ME.

last two things to add re spigen (I have no vested interests in the company - I actually have a stm case on the iPad), when my wife's screen protector broke I discovered they offer customers a replacement at half price if you send the damaged one in (it's on the website). The other point to add is in looking at cases for my soon to be phone I am still waiting for further reviews on these spigen iPhone 6 plus products as I have read in a few reviews that they may still be fine tuning their products as some customers have commented that they might not be as good as previous releases (eg the buttons not being quite right. One user comment stated that spigen was actually going to leave the phones buttons exposed in their upcoming modification). So personally I'm still looking to see what the go there will be

let me also say that, yes I am a fan of spigen and am happy to spruce them and to look at them for my future uses but I have not used any other branded screen protectors so I can't compare them To any other simlar products

hope that helps. Bottom line, my advice is if you are going to get a screen protector get a glass one!!!!! I certainly hope I too find a good option that also looks good and feels good and works well with these new phones and their curved face

Let me also finally say that in my own decision making I have considered not getting a screen protector as as it has been said on previous posts above the iPhone's glass should be pretty strong for most bumps and scratches, etc however my wife's experience surely highlights the benefit of the extra protection taking the force of a solid bashing Or at least ONE solid strike

cheers

Please please please post pics of the screen protectors on your iPhone 6. Bragging about a certain brand without any pics as proof renders your justification invalid. I don't care how good the brand is on other iphone versions. That does not count. It must must must be for iPhone 6 only and preferrably covers the whole glass surface area instead of just the screen display.

Thanks all

A screen protector or a case in a must on this new phone. I hate to cover it up, but I have to. My wife had her's a total of 13 hrs before she dropped it the first time. What do you know. From 18" off the ground it shattered the whole screen. Thank god for Apple care. There is no glass replacement yet. We will se what the bumper gas does as putting distance between the glass and the lip of the case. I think this glass will be more prone to breakage because of how it goes all the way to the edge. I know the reps at the apple store were amazed when we returned my wives phone. We were the first ones they said. I can foresee more. I bought a Pelican case for my 6 Plus and we'll see how well that works.

i got the Zagg glass iphone 6 plus protector for mine... It ended up doing the same thing on the edges! I have the space gray iphone, is it because of our black phones that we can see these edges? My wife's gold iphone with the white front looks perfect on the sides! Sure it still has the edges visible as the protector is naturally short, but no weird edging like our phones have... anyone else seen this happen on the space gray iPhone 6?

What Klephilantro is saying is we'd like to see a screen protector that truly covers the whole screen - including the edges and corners. I'll agree with you that Power Support have made excellent screen protectors in the past, however, for these new models (6 and 6 Plus) NOBODY is yet producing a screen protector that covers the entire screen. So no matter how great company A's screen protectors are, they aren't going to protect the most critical areas of the 6 and 6 Plus screens.

Perhaps we'll eventually see curved tempered glass protectors specifically designed for this phone? Right now any of the current iPhone 6 screen protectors feel like a waste of money to me.

Yes, that would be nice, but I'm not sure it is practical, or can be done for a reasonable cost.

If it wraps around the edge to cover the curved edge, then it presents an edge of the protector that will most likely not lay flatly, and be subject to lifting as we grab and handle the phone.

The solution for me is a case that covers the back and wraps around the edge, providing a lip for the phone to rest on if needed. Since a case is a much stiffer/thicker material than a protector, that should work well. I've actually used such cases for years.

Glass is definitely the stronger of the two choices but I don't see anyone in the glass screen protector realm coming up with a solution for the curved edges. Yet, at least. I did, however find a film which claims that it covers the curved edges.

I'm a little skeptical but we'll see when it arrives. I'll try to remember to update this when I get pictures.

There are lots of choices on Amazon.com, with lots of reviews. You may want to check them out.

Here's one review that provides a comparison of iPhone 6 Screen Protectors / Cases:

The Ultimate iPhone 6 Case Comparison Review between Armorbox and other ZeroLemon/Spigen/Ringke/SupCase/i-blason case, September 14, 2014

The above review was posted for this full-body case/screen protector like many of you are asking about:

iPhone 6 Case, [Heave Duty] **Slim Protection** i-Blason Apple iPhone 6 Case 4.7 inch Armorbox [Dual Layer] Hybrid Full-body Protective Case with Front Cover and Built-in Screen Protector / Impact Resistant Bumpers Cover for iPhone 6 (Black)

Note: This is NOT a recommendation or endorsement. I just happened to run across this product and review, and thought it might be of some help to all.

I do not own this product, nor do I plan to purchase it.

Good luck to all, and when you buy and try a screen protector, please let us know how it worked out.
