Thanks for the suggestion! However I already looked at that on Amazon and while the page states that the GLAS.tR Slim has "rounded edges" it also says this further down:

"• Glass sized smaller than iPhone 6 front panel

Due the iPhone 6 (4.7") having a curved display, the GLAS.tR Slim is shaped to fit the flat part of the display to prevent lifting at the edges."

So I think this means that those rounded edges still cut off before the curves of the screen but that the edges will not be sharp like when you simply cut glass. They soften the edges so they're not as noticeable, chip less easily and fit with more cases. Which in itself is a good idea.

I've been reading the reviews on this GLAS.tR product and it appears as though the bad reviews have all come from people who were disappointed that the screen protector didn't cover the curves, but the reviewers that choose to overlook this seem to like the product. I might have to try this one if the one I ordered does not satisfy. I'd rather have tempered glass if neither film nor glass will wrap completely around the curves and I'll just get a case that has a lip to protect the edges that the glass doesn't.

I keep reading all that I can find on iPhone 6 / 6 Plus and have been particularly interested in Glass Screen Protectors. After looking at all of the ones I can find and reading customer reviews, I decided to try to read more about the actual Glass on the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus. The glass is Corning Gorilla Glass III and the various Tests shown on YouTube are interesting. I was driven to looking into this because of the number of Screen Protector customers that say, "I wish I had never installed this on my new iPhone..." Now I think I am going to see how things go with no screen protector. I always keep my iPhone in my left front pocket and never put anything else in that pocket. I do know that I could drop the iPhone and it could fall on the display or on a edge-corner breaking the glass. I did purchase the Apple Silicone "Case" and I have seen a Drop Test where the only non-damaged iPhone 6 / 6 Plus when dropped from pocket height, ear height and 10 feet with only this silicone. Yes it is a risk, but I did purchase AppleCare.

I was looking at the Spigen GLAS.tr which I was close to purchasing, until I watched their youtube video of installation and performance of it.

You would think when they made a promo video it would be on the iphone perfectly, however there are several bubbles\dust spots under the glass showing in this video. If this is the way its going to look, I would end up returning it, so I'm passing on the spigen and considering the Tech Armor Ballistic Glass.

I've tried a few of the new reputable and non-reputable Tempered glass protectors on the iPhone 6. None of them provide even edge-to-edge (front face) coverage, let alone the fitment for just the usable screen is off by a mm for almost everything out right now. Zagg is still selling theirs (https://twitter.com/JunoonX/status/514078092164603904), Tech Armor pulled their, Spigen GLASS.tR is still on preorder.

There's no question that this (tempered glass protectors) is the single best investment instead of a plastic screen protector, but the fitment issue is a major annoyance. So far, everything available for ordering is still going to provide that imperfect coverage, until v2 start to come out.

I would NOT recommend anyone get these unless you're ok with taking one for the team to test fitment. I'm cautiously optimistic that someone will figure out this problem.

I posted early on about the company Viking-Shields. The tempered glass for my iPhone 6 arrived yesterday and i have to say it is brilliant. It is slightly smaller than the entire front of the phone, but does cover the touch screen part of the phone. It has the cut out like shown on all others, a loop which is a little different to the iphone 5 one i had off them, but i guess this is due to the curved outer of the phone. No problems at all, they said if it was any larger than current it would have problems with adhering and staying adhered to the device, which makes sense.

Anyway, i got it from ebay, can be found from this link that they've tweeted out goo.gl/clsTlK

Probably only for UK readers? As listed in the UK.

I didn't see this mentioned yet, but I just came across the "iloome screenmate" tempered glass.

According to the website, it's tempered glass that forms to the rounded edges.

I have no experience with this company at all, nor have I tried the screenmate yet (they're listing the release date as 9/25/14 for iPhone 6 and 10/5/14 for iPhone 6 Plus, and I'm posting this 9/24/14) but it looks like, if nothing else, companies are finding a way to make the rounded-edge tempered glass solution to satisfy the iPhone 6 aesthetics...

I'm going to order one and report back...but does anyone have any experience with any of the iloome products?

this is where I found the screen protector (24.99 pre-order):

and looks like you can pre-order on amazon as well (24.99 pre-order):

There was an interesting YouTube video on this screen protector that did a good job of reviewing the product. As with most screen protectors this one had some nice attributes and some concerning ones. The H9 indication for example is not actually a hardness scale statement about the tempered glass vs. the hardness rating for Gorilla Glass III, but rather the hardness rating of an instrument that would indeed scratch the screen protector. In the video review the reviewer is somewhat surprised to see that some sand or dirt on her floor did scratch the protector relatively deeply when she dropped her phone by accident. Nearly every other result the reviewer covered was a positive.

This is really puzzling now. I ordered mine on 9/19 and got it and installed it two days ago. Now I've been using my 5s still and the 6 is just at home for now, but I did not notice this problem at all when I installed mine. And now I'm seeing it's only pre-order now on Amazon now and not released until 10/7. I'm going to really have to take a closer look when I get home today.

I should note that I originally purchased the Tech Armor due to their reputability and the price. I was able to pick it up off Amazon for 10.99 at the time, and I figured this would at least get me some protection while I research other options and get something even better. However, since I've installed it, I don't know that I'll be switching it unless it's necessary.

Tech Armor pulled their current stock (which you and I have) for redesign, hence the 10/7 date. It's weird though, when I emailed Tech Armor for a refund, they did not inform me of the redesign effort nor offer me a replacement with the newly redesigned piece.

Halo also pulled their 0.2 and 0.3mm tempered glass out of their inventory. I ordered the 0.2mm, hoping to replace the Tech Armor but nope.

Guess a lot of manufacturers are having trouble producing the perfect tempered glass screen protector.
