FYI folks, there's a thread running on macrumors that now has several photos of the installed iloome glass screen protector:

http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1787993

The takeaways for me were:

1) It looks pretty thick and seems to fill the gap at the edges, rather than curving around them (although the edges of the glass protector itself are bevelled).

2) There was zero response from Luke (iloome rep) to repeated questions about whether it would work with a case.

lawrence, i am admittedly a little late to the party - however, your post promoted me to add my experiences re: scratches because i have no idea how your got your confidence. in my experience, it does not take a whole lot of abuse to scratch up the precious screens. it has happened to both my iphones - 4 & 5 - especially the latter... when i upgraded from 4 to 5, i actually thought that the problem was solved as i, too, had heard that the 'new' glass would be practically 'un-scratch-able'.

well... not mine. all it took was wearing the phone in the back pocket of my jeans and placing it inside the inner pockets of my purses for the glass of my iphone 5 to end up looking like i had tried out diamonds on it...

to be more precise: the glass ended up showing distinct scratches mainly on the right side of the screen. i am still puzzled what could have caused this as it would have had to be a repeated motion.

i only noticed this after weeks of using it unprotected and only by chance, namely when i placed the phone under a lamp that hit the surface just the right way. wow... the only thing i am guessing is that the glass had come in contact with the car keys inside my purses. this, however, does not explain why just the right side ended up so... worn.

i generally handle my possessions with care and was stunned when i saw what had happened. in any event: i was lucky to have the phone replaced due to a software problem (longer story) but the first thing i did when the replacement arrived was to cover it with a screen protection.

since i have tried different types over the years, i, too, love the glass versions. as everybody else, i am waiting for the perfect fit for my 6+. both are yet to arrive... ;-))

check out "xtreme guard": http://www.xtremeguard.com/Apple-iPhone-6-5-5-Screen-Protectors-and-Skins-p/ipho ne-6-5.5-screen-protector.htm

although i already received their "full body" protection kit, i have yet to receive my iphone 6+ - so i can not speak to whether this works according to their advertising. from the measurements i am assuming that the front is - again - not fully covered. :-( the back, however, will warp around the corners.

that's a good question. my guess is that any removal of the/a case will have to done carefully so the corners don't get a 'lift-off'...

despite the fact that i bought it, i am not a huge fan of this type of protection. i am not fond of the 'wet' application nor do i really like the thick feel of the rubbery plastic. however, it is probably the only thing (besides a case) that will be able to 'hug' the corners and although some people may wonder why go for a back protection when using a case, in my experience, a bit of dust/sand can easily creep between the case and the metal and cause havoc. :-(

btw: i also ordered more of a fun version of screen protection: http://nuvango.com

i am curious to see how they solve the (corner) problem (or not). interestingly they are selling cases & skins for iphone 6 but only skins for the iphone 6+. duh.

again, i am waiting for this to arrive as well and will gladly post an update once i received their product. as for 'my' iphone: the order status has shifted to "preparing for shipment". yay! 😊

I decided to try ZAGG's glass screen protector and must say it is outstanding. It is very easy to install (practically installs it self once positioned) and includes a wet cleaning packet to prep the phone.

The most impressive feature I have noticed about this glass type protector is how smudge proof it is, and how nice it is to touch. I immediately noticed how resistant this protector is to finger prints and smudges. The screen really stays clean and free of fingerprints.

As is it made of glass, it feels like the actual screen when you operate your phone. You really forget there is something on the phone.

Lastly, due to the slight curvature at the glass to case transition, the ZAGG protector stops slightly short of this transition. I don't have an issue with it, but just a heads up. I is not sized to run to the absolute edge of the glass.

After reading that some people were having issues with scratches, I did what I thought I'd never do and that was buy a Zagg Glass protector. I have just removed it and it's going back. It doesn't fit my Space Grey phone well, with the edges not adhering completely and I've already had dust manage to get under it. I've never dropped a phone. I always have AppleCare+ in case I do. My phone's screen will be naked and as long as I'm careful, I'm betting I'll never get any scratches anyway. My phone is cased and when not in use, it's also holstered.

I'm curious if you have a white faced or black faced phone? On our white one, the Zagg Glass works great. On my black faced phone it did not adhere correctly.

Any views on the tech armour glass screen protectors?

i read that they now have cut out for th camera too

or the moshi ivisors? even on previous iPhone models? I believe only the sides stick to the phone so how does it feel on the screen when using it?

Does the the cut outs of these designs bug you when using the phone (eg around the home button or the ear speaker). It hasn't bothered me on my 4s however I'm worried this will take the sparkle out of the 6 plus which currently is my new toy I am enjoying Yes I know it's a personal thing so wants your experience with these? Would appreciate your views

also, by the way......I semi reluctantly bough a slim armor case from spigen as the Neo hybrids have some major button issues at the moment and I must say that the cut out at the back for the apple logo is a great feature for holding your phone and for lifting the phone out of a jean Pocket. This was not a look I particularly go for but have been pleasantly surprised by this. it's not just spigen cases that have this cut out. Keep this feature in mind if you are still looking for cases. A bit of a bonus I thought

cheers

I once had Power Support film on my iPhone. I found it disappointing myself.

I've had the Power Support HD Anti-glare film on every iPhone I've owned, from the 3GS to my new iPhone 6+.

They have all been excellent, providing great protection while giving me an anti-glare view that is so clear I can't tell it's there. The film is also highly resistant to fingerprints and smudges.

I've never suffered any damage of any kind on any of my phones. The PS has done a great job while giving me a great view.

When I bought my iPhone 6+ I traded in my 4S, which had always been in a case with the PS screen protector. The salesman said the phone looked brand new -- the best looking trade in he had seen.
