No. A 3rd reinstallation isn't needed. But try the following:

1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your

User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.

2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto

User uploaded file

3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.

NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:

User uploaded file

where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

Hi Terence - I am having a similar issue with exporting a slideshow.

OS X Version: 10.10.5

iPhoto Version: 9.6.1

I have made a number of slideshows before and have had no problem exporting them. I make the slideshow with a hundred or so pictures and then add music to it. I then click "Export" to iMovies or Documents and select the resolution and click "save". I have tried selecting different resolutions but this doesn't make any difference. The "Exporting Slideshow" window appears briefly and then iPhoto crashes and I get an error message.

As I mentioned I have made other slideshows and exported them without any problems but it was well over a year ago since I created and exported them.

I have already tried to delete the the plist file and then rebuild iPhoto but it hasn't fixed the problem. In fact the other slideshows I created have since disappeared since the plist was deleted and iPhoto rebuilt.

Any idea what I can do next?
