iOS 8 Remote update not displaying album art of currently playing album

Today's Remote 4.2.1 update with iOS 8 seems to not be displaying album artwork of the currently playing track. I instead see placeholder grey text of the artist and album over a darker grey field. Anyone else with this issue?

In order to downgrade the iOS you will need to perform a few steps.

1) If you don't already have the correct .ipsw file for the iOS 7 you will need to download it from a 3rd source. One of the best is www.iclairifed.com, simply locate the correct file for your iPhones cellular data network type (CDMA, GSM) and the correct model (iPhone 4, 4s, 5, etc...)

2) If you have to download the file it then needs to be put into the correct folder on your computer. Use the chart below to locate the correct location to copy the downloaded file into.

Windows XP

iPhone C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
iPad C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPad Software Updates
iPod touch C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
Note: To quickly access the Application Data folder, choose Start > Run. Type %appdata% and click OK.

Windows Vista, 7, and 8

iPhone C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
iPad C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPad Software Updates
iPod touch C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
Note: To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start, type %appdata% in the search bar, and press the Return key.
Windows 8: Move the cursor to the upper right, click the magnifying glass, type %appdata%, and press the Return key.

And for MAC

Mac OS X

iPhone ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
iPad ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates
iPod touch ~/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates
Note: The tilde "~" represents your Home directory.

3) In order to begin the restore you will need to go to the device summary page in iTunes and the

Windows: Hold the Shift key while clicking on Restore iPhone

MAC: Hold the Option key while clicking on Restore iPhone

This will bring up a selection box that will allow you to select the .ipsw file of your choice, select the one for the iOS 7. Then sit back, grab a bag of microwave popcorn, and wait for the restore to proceed.

Also don't forget to backup your data prior to beginning the restore process to prevent loss of data!!!

If you only update the app on the device and not in iTunes.

Delete remote from your device. And sync the old ipa back from iTunes.

If you update the app on the device and in iTunes.

Remove the app from your device and in iTunes.

Get the older ipa from your (time capsule) backup.

If you do not have the version you are looking for in your iTunes library, it may have been replaced by a newer version.

When iTunes updates apps, the .ipa file for the older app is sent to the trash (or recycle bin on a PC).

If you have not emptied the trash recently, it may still be there.

If you can locate the .ipa file for the app you want, you can delete the newer version from iTunes, then drag the older version to the "Apps" section in the sidebar in iTunes

If you still not have or found the older ipa, then ask your friends if they have the older ipa.
