I still have the same issue on my phone, though I haven't tried to reset it yet because the issue might only be the same. Anyways, did something happen to your phone before the touch ID option was gone on iOS 7.1.2, like dropping it or anything that might trigger to hardware issue? As I'm thinking that this could be cause by a faulty sensor already But I never dropped my phone though.

No, Just upgraded to iOS8.

After trying a lot...I got replacement (5s) form Apple.

What if you cannot get it replaced 😟.... This is stupid.... Apple Pleaseeeeeeeee !!!!

There are no "Apple Guys" here, only other users. If restores and resets have not fixed the problem you likely have a hardware problem so return it to where you bought it and have the phone examined.

I am having same issue . Shown to apple store also without any joy. What to do now anyone got a fix?
