IOS 8 lost camera roll

TThis is also the problem with facebook app.

So Wednesday evening came here and I was excited to finish work and get home to do IOS 8, in fact its like been the talk in the office. So the update came and installed, no issues, Like some of the new features and some I've turned off, But then I got a SMS from one of my good friends saying all her thousands of photos had gone, I was on the phone for a hour trying everything to eventually understand that they are there, just in the photos side. I had never even noticed the cameral roll had gone, I looked at mine and I was the same, No camera roll, I was horrified and so was my friend. I started to browse to read its true, Apple has got rid of one of the most useful and best features on the phone.

So today I go to work and there is a air of disappointment, I ask what's wrong, did you get IOS 8. Yep no problems, what's happened then, The camera roll is gone, Yes people really do miss the cameral roll, you have taken the fun and excitement of using your camera as people cant be bothered to search for things, me included. Happy Weds to a sad Thursday, Wow IOS 8 has gone down in my books as the worst update and decision made.

Apple, why have you got rid of Camera Roll. Who in the right mind has created this most stupid of way to look for photos, I know the photo collection feature was there in IOS7 but I hated it then and now I loathe it. You haven't given me options why?, why have you taken my way for looking at photos away from us.

I can no longer find my photos as there is a order I want (Sorry, we the people don't want) some of my photos don't have the correct date as they may have been sent via other phones etc, I spent 15 mins today browsing 4,500 photos for one pic that I still cant find. The picture I was looking for was a Family photo, Its heart breaking that I cant find my picture when I need it. Do you know what this can do to people when you change something or remove a feature like this.

Now people will come back as say its a phone, get over it, people are worse off. I know and don't doubt this, but My phone is part of me, its who I (We) are and removing a basic most wanted need is daft and pointless. Oh and Apps no longer work because they cant see the pictures too.

If you read the forum then good and I hope this gets back to you, We are not asking for the world, just a basic camera roll function, just like cameras, other phones have now. Yes THE BASIC !!

So Please fix it, or at least modify what we have, I don't want to create extra photos and if you think I'm moving 4,500 one by one, think again. We don't all have computers, Macs or laptops.

So I do have a couple of suggestions.

• Bring back Camera Roll, or at least allow us to select it in a menu if we want,
• Allow us as customers to increase the Recently added amount of days, so we can choose how long we want to see photos for and not just what you decide.
• Allow us to turn of the date and time and where it was taking in the photo section. At present its messy, hard to find photos, I know as im still looking.
• Give us more options in how we want to view photos,

I have no issues with change, in fact I Like change and welcome it, but when there is no logic or reason behind a change that makes sense, I can only assume that some one thought it was a great idea oh just lets take the basic function of the camera of people of them is in my eyes stupid.

I think the recently added is a great idea and also recently deleted is good, So leave them and just add Camera roll, Then people can use one or the other, but not just force them down to something they don't want.

Long reply, but its how I feel and I know how plenty of others in many forums also feel.

Were not asking for the world, just a camera roll and allow us the consumer decide how we want to view our pics.

I'm also really angry with this, really Apple?? This "Recently Added" thing just made everything 10 times more confusing and complicated.

Ill have to do this when I get home.....still pretty cross though, I had so many pics and the fright this change gave me lol

It frightened me! Specially because I have photos of my three dogs that passed away and I was going to leave them on the phone forever! Please remedy this, apple hasnt impressed me with this at all

I do have it backed up, Im at work at the moment and updated on the way here. Ill sync it with my pro when I get home.

Then you have not lost them. Just sync them back to your phone.
