I did this method the 1st day it come out and yes... when I had nothing installed it worked fine... As I installed apps it got slower and slower and slower. Its better than not starting from a clean slate but its about 1/2 has fast at it was with iOS8... Report back but I suspect you will be in the same state as I am right now in a couple of weeks.

Every day I'm getting a load of apps making corrections so to be compatible with iOS 8. This is every single day and some days I get 20 or more, with some of them being the second or third tI'm e around they've "fixed" their apps. Now, I heard from another user here that he got Apple to run some special diagnostic software on his iPad and they found an especially bad app and told him to get rid of it, since the developer had not brought it up to date for iOS 8. He got rid of it, and his iPad went back to normal. I suspect that this new "interaction" between apps is causing havoc, when the developers don't get their apps in order. At least one case that I heard of ... was directly the fault of that app and its developer!

I would recommend doing a reset to factory default with the iTunes program and don't put your backup back on until you check it out, with this new revision, iOS 8.1, which has some bug fixes, besides new features which are included.

And, report how it's going with the new revision ...

I am having pretty much all the same issues as everyone above. I already tried a back up to the last one I had. It did not help and stayed on ios8. I have freezing of apps, my settings and content screen is freezing, I lost things in the icloud. It is a mess. I sure would like to have ios 7 again. Why would they not test this with older models. It is giving this user a very bad experience and a bad apple taste in his mouth!!!

The problem has now become worse. I thought I would try to follow some of the advice about my ipad and reset to factory settings and then use a older restore/back up and now my home button does not work at all! I tried trouble shooting that with the home button calibration and that did no good! It seems as if my apple is rotten!
