@amimani
can u pls share details about ur iPad? model? type?
Yeah, that was exactly what I did!. Everything from scratch, no backups at all every single app in my iPad was re-download from the App Store. The frequency of BSOD has significantly reduce but I'm still having them, specially when playing games or browsing in Safari.
NOw I am facing battery drain problem!!!
I suspect some of apps, any app no particular app!
PLease help!
I hope Apple is seriously tracing this problem!
Hi guys. I had blue screen reboot problem after updating to iOS 8.0.2. I tried Restore iPad from iTunes and I don't see this problem thereafter. However I had to install all apps again.
Okay. So in a lot of ways I'm glad my iPad mini (retina) isn't the only one with the random blue screen reboots etc. The unit is less that a couple of weeks old and the problem started ever since the ios8 update. Much like the most of you. And like everyone else has mentioned here - closing the apps seem to help. I've tried the restore and sadly it's still the same. If anyone else has any other tricks or suggestions, I'll be happy to try it out. Until then, over to your Apple - Fix it please, because it's really a pain!
Even I have the same problem..random re boots after a blue screen.. Hoe apple fixes this..my ipad retina is not even a month old
Guys, I have reported the problem through this Web page
about 10 days ago. Apple replied today and asked for the crash log file of my ipad. I have sent it to them. I suggest you also report the problem in the same web page so they can collect your log files as well. I hope this nasty annoying bug would be fixed soon.
But how to get the crash logs? should i register as a developer?
I'm unable to log-in there.
At any rate, turning off iCloud services seems to stop the blue screen reboots. Not ideal, I know, but better than having a major annoyance whilst using the ipad. Hope Apple fixes this issue soon.
Mine is a 128GB ipad Air wifi + cellular. Was absolutely fine on iOS 7.
To send crash logs to apple:
1) On your iPad go to Settings - Privacy - Diagnostics & Usage and Check Automatically Send
2) From the Mac - Sync your iPad with iTunes and then Navigate to Library/Logs/Crash Reporter/Mobile Devices/[your iPad or iPhone name] - Zip the required files and attach them with your bug report. If Library is not visible by default - Press the OPTION key while viewing the Go Menu (Finder)
3) They may ask you for specific log files - they will always be found here on the mac... Sync to have the latest.
File the bug report here:
Thank you Sunil.. ll try..
Hi,
My theory & struggle to understand this issue is with option 2
I too am experiencing this on my 5s... only brought it last week from reputable guy... phone was mint condition, 1 day in and bsod twice... followed by 3 reboots during the night... apple genius advise i swap the handset for another at £199 (6 days out of warranty)... anyway as they tried a restore in store screen went black, blue, white with stripes then black with white lights in the corners!
After he took it out back to see a technician... removing the screen & inspecting inside... probably graphics chip or similar fault... nothing we can do!
30 mins later it springs back to life and works as normal for around 3 hours... then blue screen & back to normal again!
Today I had 3 failed restore from recovery mode attempts (error 6!) finally on the 4th attempt... bingo, restored as new phone... 10 mins later & swiped to unlock = blue screen then back to normal again... now its been good for an hour or so...
If it was hardware surely it would not start working again would it? and why do so many other have similar crashes? surely not everyones chip can be faulty... unless ios8 has messed them beyond repair?
Fixed mine! I backed up to iCloud only, restored in iTunes then Set Up As New when the restore finished.
Chose Use iCloud later on in the setup. It works like normal now, and my iCloud stuff is back.
I got my apps back from App Store without paying for them or anything again, too.
Hope this helps!
If you havent already, then go to the following address and report the bug choosing "bug reporter" from the feedback type dropdown.
http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
because most of us are users and not developers we are unable to use the other bug reporter link provided. We need Apple to see this issue as a priority, and unless they are getting multiple reports they won't do anything.
