No more logs in Diagnostics and usage after updating to ios 8.1; does tat mean no BSOD here after?

Sent my iPad Air (which is still on guarantee) to Apple and it's being replaced. Due back early next week
Tried DFU restore on a new PC with a new iTunes install. Same issue
Went to Apple store and they could provide no explanation or fix.

My mom's iPad has been experiencing the same problem as most people here. The iPad reboots on its own randomly ever since upgrading to IOS 8. The screen dissolves to black and the Apple Logo appears. It hangs for a good while before finally working again. I've tried everything from restoring backups to restoring and setting it up as a brand new iPad. Updated to iOS 8.1 OTA and problem still persists. Chatted with online support from Apple and they say it is a hardware problem that I'll need to get repaired..
ipad 2,5 is the ipad mini first generation... The problem mentioned in this forum is relevant only to the iPad air, iPad mini retina (2nd gen) and the iPhone 5s... All on A7 processors... The problem had been fixed with iOS 8.1... The mini first generation did not have this problem with ios 8... If it is present on your device it could be a hardware issue or something specific only to your device/installation... Unfortunately If you are out of warranty you will have to get an estimate for repairs from apple...
to summarise the discussion here will not help you as your problem is different
Update on Blue Screen Restart on iPad Air: Since updating to 8.1 last week, the blue screen restart did not happen even for once. Now the crashes are limited to specific apps. e.g., Bento, Wiki offline, Macjournal, SketchBookPro are some of the culprits. No kernel panic in the log but too many JetsamEvent. Quick look at some of the logs, it seems to me that many are related to iCloud not being able to connect. I connect through a proxy which shuts out many common ports. Some of these might be needed for iCloud to function properly. I am switching of some go the iCloud functions, keeping only contact, reminder and calendar on which always worked, even before iOS 8 arrived. As the internet connection in many parts of the world is not perfect yet, Dropbox and Onedrive seems to be the only reliable cloud service for me. I will update after a week after switching off iCloud, if it reduces the crashes.
Hey! good news! After i update my iPad Air the BSOD had gone! Everything is perfect again. \o/
same issue on my ipad mini. What worked for me (3 days no reboots) was to let the battery run completely out. Upon recharge the reboots have gone away and it is stable now.
Got a replacement iPad Air back from Apple. Installed everything as new. No more BSOD. Finally!
Regarding your item #7: I have observed that some popup OK/Cancel dialogs treat the OK and Cancel buttons as text fields instead of buttons, thereby preventing the buttons from being clicked. I have an iPad 2 with iOS 7 that works fine in those same dialogs. I think the only difference is iOS. Has anyone seen this?

Just happened to me too On my 5s.
last night, just about to walk in the house with about 10% battery & playing some music. I checked my phone to see the time & got the Blue screen followed by the phone going off. Forgot about this all night until bedtime, plugged the phone in thinking it had somehow lost power only to have it switch on & show 12%.
interesting. Set my alarm for the morning & woke up with the phone seemingly dead again. After holding both buttons for a reset, the phone has then been stuck in a reboot loop for 10 mins or so. When it did start, I seseched online, found out about BSOD on iPhone, found an apparent 8.1.1 update in my settings, then it went off again loading the 'Manage usage' screen.
Not good.
Update. My iPad mini has been randomly rebooting for awille. It got worse and a few times, wouldn't even turn back on. Battery started draining quite quickly As well. I did a reset, and than a restore and nothing. Finally, I just started deleting apps one by one.. Turns out it was one of the apps. My iPad hasn't turned off in 2 days. Crossing fingers it stays this way.
Russ, here's a link about Background app refresh, maybe this setting has something to do with using up the battery.

iPad Air resprings at least once a day. For the hundredth time. Had many replaced. Tried new installs and restored from backup many times over. It happens after an update, it seems. I had one working fine then update and boom reboots. Then broke screen, fixed at the Apple store but still restrings every day at least once. Quite bad although maybe not the end of the world since nothing seems to be lost or at least if there's nothing to be lost. Still, would love to have it fixed. Safari tabs reload quickly enough so not really an issue (although would be nice if they didn't, of course). If it wasn't for the re-springs and infrequent app freezes/crashes it would have been the perfect tablet...
