EU Internet Bug

There is a new feature in iOS 8 in cellular settings called EU Internet. It is supposed to work as described below.

Problem is it doesn't! I'm just back from

Roaming in Spain and if you select EU on with data roaming off or on data stops working.

The only way you can get internet is to turn EU off.

------

There is a helpful option in Cellular settings when traveling in the EU. Tap on Settings > Cellular and set Data Roaming to On to make the new option beneath it, labelled EU Internet, available. Set that to On and then set the Data Roaming feature back to off. You’ll now be able to use the iOS device when roaming in the European Union, but not other parts of the world. Apple is introducing this feature because the European Union is working towards a ban on roaming charges for calls, texts and data to benefit its citizens, starting December 2015. This may reduce the cost to visitors, but check with your carrier to see whether it will impose any extra fees of its own.

Hey guys, thanks for posting. This has been driving me mad ever since I started travelling. NL sim, worked in Germany, not in France, and now not in Spain. Although, I have a an I phone 6- updated to iOS 10. I am looking for this 'EU' setting, and I don't know if I am just daft but my phone doesn't seem to have it I purchased my phone in Australia. Can anyone help me locate it or does my phone simply not have the setting (been searching but no EU)

HI THIS IS THE MOST EASIEST ANSWER IN THE WORLD, I WORK FOR O2, APPLE ADDED AN OPTION BEFORE ANYONE HAD ACTUALLY AGREED TO IT (TYPICAL APPLE) AND THEN THEY NEVER DID SO THE FUNCTION NOW DOES THE OPPOSITE TO WHAT IT WAS DESIGNED.

APPLE THOUGHT THAT ROAMING WOULD BE ELIMINATED IN THE EU DUE TO LEGISLATION, BUT IT WAS NOT AS NO ONE WILL MAKE ONE NETWORK FOR THE WHOLE OF EU, SO YOU WILL ALWAYS ROAM. YOU WILL NOW GET INCLUSIVWE BUNDLE FOR EU IN UK TARIFFS TO HELP, BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS ROAM.

NEVER TURN EU INTERNET ON ABROAD, EVER IT WILL ALWAYS PREVENT DATA FROM WORKING, ALWAYS, THIS IS FACT, APPLE IN iOS10 MAY EVEN DELETE THE OPTION DUE TO THEIR ERROR. NEVER TURN EU INTERNET ON IF YOU WANT TO ACTUALLY USE IT.
