IOS 8 won't sync music with itunes
After updating to IOS 8 on my Iphone 5, all of my music was removed. I tried resyncing it with Itunes - however once completed no new music has gone across.
Anyone know how to fix this??

Ladies and Gents,
There are a few valid fixes out there depending on how and why your iPhone isn't syncing. In my case my daughter unplugged my iPhone during a sync and my iPhone ended up with bad sync data for Music and Videos (ghost data). Reinstalling iTunes (completely), forcing to resync music wasn't doing it.
Solution:
1. I have Apple Match/Apple Music so I first had to set Apple Music to "Off" from my iPhone (Settings > Music > Show Apple Music).
2. I had to remove videos and music from my iPhones Managed Memory:
"Make sure you really want to delete all the music because they can’t be restored afterwards.
Edit button on the top right, and choose to delete All Songs."3. Once iPhone is cleared of bad sync you can resync from iTunes.
4. Turn on Apple Match/Apple Music AFTER the your Music sync to reduce consumption on your Data Plan.
heres what worked for me.
go on iPhone: settings, music
turn off iCloud music library.
go on your computer, sync iPhone.
it will ask you if you're sure. say yes. you will then have your music
Awesome, after trying all sorts of options this one worked for me, thanks Mark.
markkon knows whats up..you gotta check the 'manually manage music' box! peace
APPLE HAS BECOME **** EVER SINCE STEVE JOBS DIED. NO OFFENSE TO THE PEOPLE IN APPLE BUT IT IS THE TRUTH...
Did NOT help. Strikes me (reading it after the fact) as the modern version of opening up a Nintendo cartridge and blowing on it. Why can't iTunes and mobile devices (especially iPhones) simply, uh... perform as designed/advertised. Am able to grasp the complexities and nuances involved (background information, specs, app versions all vary from customer to customer, etc.) but more and more the "fix" for major Mac flaws seems to come down to resetting, erasing, restoring - you know, all the buzzwords signaling a major problem - sad really. More and more I feel like consumers have to settle for Mac (yes, the alternatives are dreadful).
