New iPhone 6 4.7 getting hot and battery draining fast

Got the phone replaced. Indeed, the first one was a lemon, or bad triple-flash as mentioned. Used the phone all day today - watched some videos, texting, with several lengthy calls - and still enjoying 90%. Never loses power when idle anymore. I'm totally happy again!

So it seams that the best solution is to get the phone replaced. Did you need to convince Apple on some special way or you just said that after 4 hours of idle your phone is at 70% and they replaced immediately. (this is my experience 🙂 if i make some calls 60% end of the day 23%)

I actually went to Verizon Wireless first, and they tested the battery. Although it passed (barely) they did say it's not acting like a 2-month old battery. They arranged to make the swap. I received the new phone, removed my SIMM from the old phone, inserted it into the new one, and restored from backup. Violá. Done deal. Gave them back their defective phone.

I've had my phone for about 5months and it's just started to seem like it's getting hot . Not what do to....battery drained quickly...

my iphone6 gets extremely hot even when the only app that runs is viber. I barely use this. It drains too quick even when on stand by.. Every little touch, the battery just drops 1%. The moment I turn on the wifi or data it getsssss soooo hot right away. I cannot maximize the features of this phone! I am going crazy 😟

i got the same problem with it, exactly the same, returning it back to apple now and just ordered a new one, hope to get lucky this time

Today evening, I experienced the same issue and rushed to the my carrier store and they helped to order a new one, waiting for the new phone.

close all the background apps when not in use and if u had update of 8.3 just update it bcoz it fixes maximum bugs i am using iphone 6 i too had same problem and then i updated to 8.3 it consumes very low heat and it runs good than ios 8
