If you happen to pair another iphone to the same car, the problem resurfaces. So, dont pair two phones either.
I reset my phone now twice. I hate having to go thru all the setting resets. A waste of time.
Have Apple even acknowledged the bluetooth issues / problems yet.
This is is a serious issue with potential safety repercussions.
In the UK it is illegal to use a mobile /cell phone whilst driving. I don't know about other countries.
Connecting with the car was solved after I Reset All Settings. The only bluetooth connection I can't get working is to my macbook pro. This isn't really a great matter, because there are several other ways to connect my Iphone, but it is a Huge SHAME for a company like Apple. I really have the same sort of feelings I had when Bill Gates and Windows made their worst updates. I want someone to tell me why should I consider paying more for my next Apple device.
Today I've just tray to call out from my car with my Parrot MKi9200 and there was a problem. iPhone with IOS 8.0.2 has been conected with Parrot device at once, but, when I wanna call somebody there was a problem. After 2-3 calling signals phone call was cancelled. I think this is iOS 8 fault, f..ck... ðŸ˜
Same here - although for me it works on and off. Once I come home in the evening, get out of car... out of reach of car switch off phone, switch if back on, next morning it will work for one time trip, after that it gives the annoying phantom call... I bet Bono and the Edge have Android phones!
This solved my problem with Parrot MKi9200 and now it's work as it have to 🙂
Firstly can you delete the old pairing out of the MKi9200/9100 memory - SETTINGS>BLUETOOTH>PAIRED DEVICES> select phone and delete.
On the iPhone go to the Bluetooth list select ℹ next the Parrot device, now forget device and turn Bluetooth off then back on.
Now on the iPhone go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > RESET > REST ALL SETTINGS (top of the list).
To re-pair your phone – SETTINGS>BLUETOOTH>PAIR WITH>OTHER PHONES> screen will display ‘PAIR YOUR PHONE’.
Now from your phone search for the MKi9200/MKi9100 and pair your phone using the pin code ‘0000’
P.S.
I think it will be enough if you on the iPhone reset just Network Settings and not all.
I Did the reset all setting and it worked for a while but got in the car this morning and again when I take or make a call it disconnects after a few seconds. Call is connected but not coming through my Bluetooth kit.
Similar problems both on Mercedes 200 C and BMW X6. It's a mess, I use my phone for business and a ticket here is heavy and the policemen are fierce (to not taking in count the security, to handle a Phone while driving because it is in hang due to the bluetooth connection).
BTW : i tried all the workarounds here suggested, no one solved really the issue. FIX FIX FIX!
GUGU1960 from ITALY / MILAN
I did not delete network or general settings, this is how i managed to get things to work:
at home i eent to bluetooth settings of my iphone and removed the car from the know devices list. i switched off bluetooth, went to the car and removed the phone from the car's system. I switched on bluetooth and paired the two anew. Now things work again... kind of weird if you ask me!
Exactly the same here - the 'phantom call' after BT connection is established has gone after the "reset all settings" (iphone 6+ running 8.0.2). However, now attempting to make a call means it goes through the in car system for a few seconds before losing the call audio, despite it continuing through the phone...
Apple really should put their hands up for this one - as pointed out many times, the car BT system has not changed - lord knows what Apple have done with this Bluetooth implementation - apart from a distinct lack of interop testing...
Everyone who is having issues with Bluetooth should call or chat with Apple support. Thats the one sure way they start seeing these issues as problems. Apple monitors these forums, but may view this issue as a low priority if their call/chat volume is small on the issue.
Call or set up a chat session.
exactly my reasoning! i tried removing devices, pairing agsin, doing the same, resetting network settings... all just work for some time then the stupid anonymous call makes my car bt totally useless, can't even use the nav, i'm going to file gor a bug/issue with support, which we should all do. once they have their hands full they might react
I have iphone 6 plus on ios 8.02 syncing with my Evoque. First call with 1st connection was fine. Ever since then, the phone is detected by the cars bluetooth but when a call comes through, the music doesn't fade away and i can't hear the person speaking on the line either through the car speaker or on the phone. Apple need to look into an update soon!
Deleting phone from sync system, deleting sync from phone, reset network settings on phone, then re-paired phone to sync system. Works perfectly on both our 2014 F150 and 2014 Fusion. Have made multiple phone calls without issue. My wife's 5s and my 6 works without issue now, we never had an issue running iOS 8 beta, not sure what messed up the connectivity but it's a pretty simple fix. I have even restarted my phone multiple times and it's still connecting perfectly.
Same...2014 GMC Acadia. My iPhone 4S worked fine until the IOS 8 update when it stopped recognizing any of my contacts (I can't say "Call Home" even though "Home" is listed as a contact on the phone and in the car), calling strange numbers (00 or 53 or other random sets of numbers) or yes, it will just say "Speech session ended" at random times.
The speakers do work and I can talk over Bluetooth when driving but I have to either know the 'number' I'm calling and use voice dial like that (RARE...who knows actual numbers anymore, only contact names) or I have to dial directly from my phone and of course, this all depends on if it will let me continue the speech session without it deciding we're finished in the middle of the process- not good. Took the car to the dealer and they did the radio system update but no fix...obviously after doing some research, this is an Apple problem. Got my new iPhone 6 Plus going today and same thing - VERY disappointed. 😢
Tried the Reset suggestion, deleted the connection on both the phone and the car, reconnected, so on but none of that helped. I REALLY hope Apple fixes this SOON (like within a few days). Maybe they should stick with one project at a time and make 100% all the components of a new OS work before releasing it.
Apple - PLEASE stop competing to be the Fastest and just work to be the Best! Unfortunately, I think Samsung is laughing at you, and those of us that stuck with you, right now 😕
