I did that, but it doesn't solve it... from time to time still the annoying anonymous phone call pops up on the car's nav system, with no call on the phone.

Once paired the music starts playing over BT, even if I have my nav system off... never did that before! Apple still need their arses kicked for messing up such an important part of a phone. Apparantly they do not like their consumers, only their money!

Same…. I have a Dodge Charger 2008 and all my iPhones from 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, and 5S worked just fine. Got a 6 a few days ago and EXACT same issues as you. I've scoured the internet and tried a few 'fixes' ( reset all settings, etc, ) and nothing works. I'm guessing we just have to wait for an update patch. I know I downloaded iOS 8 on my 5S just before I got my 6 and it had issues connecting to UConnect as well. But not when I had iOS 7. That tells me it's software/firmware, not hardware. And most definitely not the car. I wish Apple would sincerely test these things further before public release. I feel that we are the test subjects now and are doing Beta work for THEM. I wonder how Steve Jobs would react if he were still alive? I firmly believe he'd not allow this to go public. It's NOT the car as Bluetooth is a simple wireless standard. That's like a new Router that supports wireless 802.11 a/c but NOT a, b, g, n. Routers don't do that, they usually backwards support older standards. All these forums I'm reading tell me it's the firmware/software, not the car or phone. I have grid 'Reset All Settings' and it worked once. Just once. Once you power off your phone, or switch off the Bluetooth, you lose the 'connection.' I'm not doing this every tine I get into my car. Never mind that doing this wipes your wallpapers, WiFi passwords you've saved, and more. This is a BIG pain Apple. Get with it.

I think I have figured it out.

I did try all the solution proposed but ended up in same boat as others. Could make call using sync but could not pick up if some one called using sync. I have iPhone 5S with iOS 8.02

After that I remembered what I had faced 16 years a go Oracle and Oracle client (bunch of IT stuff).

Special characters in host name (in this case phone name), could cause communication issue. I had " 's " in my phone name like John's iphone. I changed phone name to just "John" rebooted phone, master reset sync and got it working calling from sync or receiving call or making call from phone and using sync.

All scenarios tested and worked fine.

I hope this would help everyone.

This is a problem with iOS 8, which is has reported to be fixed by many ios8.1 beta users. The real question is, when the heck will 8.1 be released? And even more importantly, what kind of company puts out such crap software in the first place? Its an embarrassment. They send out buggy software, then attempts to fix it with new version, and it has even more problems. You never hear of such problems with competitors phones. UGH.

What's even more funny, is I thought this was originally a Land Rover problem...I called my LR dealer, and he states they have received literally one hundred calls in the first few days of ios8. Needless to say, they are not fans of Apple, to say the least.

I did a reset network settings which has worked for several days, then today it reverted back to same issue and reset network settings didn't fix it this time. I have tried reset all settings and it required resetting up lots of stuff, inconvenient, but does seem to have restored functionality. I'll test it for several days and report back.

iPhone 6, 8.02, Tesla Model S

I have a Peugeot RCZ and i'm having issues, have cleared out the Bluetooth memeor from the Car and re-sync'd it was then able to connect for a while. Music streaming seems to work it's just giving me problems with making calls. If I use the dashboard controls nothing seems to happen, but if i use the handset the system seems to magically jump into life!! I'm running 8.0.2, It was fine before upgrading to 8

Same problem as others here with iOS 8.0.2 (iPhone 6) and Parrot MKi9200 Bluetooth Car kit.

As soon at the phone connects it shows a call in progress even though there isn't. And there is no way to end the 'call' via the phone or Parrot device other than to turn off bluetooth.

Because of this the Parrot MKi9200 is now useless for playing music or calling.
