iOS 8 wifi sync not working

i am having the same issue . it is driving me nuts after updating to iOS 8

I have the same problem. I can sync if I plug my iPad Air in, but not over wifi. Have tried checking and unchecking, rebooting my computer, rebooting the device ... nothing works.

Wifi sync is just completely broken by iOS 8 for me. It worked fine after upgrading to iTunes 11.4 with iOS 7, but the upgrade to 8 broke it.

Disappointing that iOS 8 is another buggy x.0 release from Apple.

I am having the same problem! The crazy thing is I have a iPhone 4s which I did not upgrade it to iOS 8 and it connects to iTunes sync Wifi with no problem. Apple needs to fix this asap. I bet in two weeks we're going to receive an iOS 8.1 update smh.

Yep. My iPhone 5 is still on iOS 7.1.2, and it syncs over wifi with no problems. This is clearly an iOS 8 bug.

Try to restart your iPhone. I had the same problem, WiFi sync worked after restart.

That works for a little while, then it craps out again. Now having trouble with my iPhone 5 on 7.1.2 as well. iOS 8 and iTunes 11.4 are a mess.

This update is a disaster. Especially releasing the 6 on the same day. Car connectivity no music art work. Had to disable wifi yo get gmail over LTE. A disgrace.

I have a 2013 Ford Fusion with Sync & an Iphone 4S. Updated to IOS 8 and calls would come in and I could answer and then they would immediately drop. After contacting the Ford Sync forum discovered that if you delete your phone profile from the Bluetooth section on both the MFT and the Iphone and then re-pair the phone to the Sync it works fine. Had to shut the car down and then started up again after re-adding the phone & everything works fine. The Ford Sync tech I chatted with said they had been fielding numerous calls on this since the update. He offered that if that did not work then the other option was to do a master reset on the Sync system and reboot everything. Luckily I did not have to do this.

i tried to restore from backup , worked for a whole and stopped .

Try shutting your iPhone totally off, and turning it back on.

This worked for me. It synced right away.

Had the same issue on a 2013 Ford Raptor. I reset network connections, deleted from MFT and paired it again. Everything works great now

works when iphone is charging for me...

edit : now its working on battery too...its a mess

I need to revise my last reply: The reboot worked fine until I left and came back later and tried to sync again. The iPhone 5 would not sync with iTunes. I rebooted again. There also seems to be a host of other problems, such as iTunes not recognizing wallpapers and apps that are already installed.
