iOS 8 wifi sync not working

I agree. This is "Madness." I upgraded to iTunes 12.0. I still have the same problem that my iPhone and iPad on IOS 8.02, which will not sync wifi unless they are turned off then turned back on. But, the iPhone on IOS 7.x worked fine with iTunes 11.x. Now, it doesn't sync with iTunes 12.0 automatically any longer. I have to click on the sync button manually and yes automatic is checked off.

Apple never changed the new Numbers to be useable in print view. This is a must for my business. I'm still using Number 9. But, it is starting to work flakey with the new operating system. Apple refused to add print view.

I'm considering going back to the pc and using microscoft exchange. Apple has changed dramatically for the worse.

This problem is due to a bug in iOS 8. Updating your Mac OS / iTunes is not going to fix it.

The problem does not exist in iOS 7.

We have to hope that it will be fixed in 8.1..

I'm able to take a packet capture and verify that the Bonjour multicast packets arrive to my server machine, however there is no response to the query packets received on UDP/5353.

I wonder if iTunes has been hacked on both Windows and OSX and the hack attack is interfering with wifi sync. Has anyone tried a complete OS reinstall to see if it fixes it?

Still not working here, so I guess I need a complete OS reinstall and recreate library.

The only time I have been able to sync was when it was a new feature. I've given up with it now.

You and I both had damage to our Operating systems. I've already reinstalled OS X on my iMac, and now the devices show up in iTunes all the time, so far. As for my windows laptop, I'm in the process or reinstall now, so don't know the final outcome. It takes a couple days to complete for me.

I spoke too soon. The next day, the iPhone and iPad didn't show up in iTunes. I must switch them on or off or use the cable.

Still working here, now I have all my iOS8.1 devices at iTunes WiFi sync, no rebooting necessary.
