iOS 8 Safari Problem

I'm using iPad mini 16 GB Wi-Fi model. So far I found 3 problem in Safari of iOS 8.

Using Safari can't upload image from Photos app to image hosting. I'm also found a thread someone who also complain cannot upload his image to Facebook. So I suspect everything that including upload image is got same problem.

Copy image have different behaviour. OK... this is bit hard to describe so I will just giving example.

Here is image with no URL hyperlink so you just can't open this on new tab. The only option is save image or copy :

Here is image with hyperlink, you can open in new tab and also copy link.

I know iOS 7 Safari had limitation but at least not so crippled in iOS 8. In iOS 7 I could copy then place it on address bar, paste it to get the URL http://blabla.eww/filename.jpg. Now in iOS 8 I'm hoping the image have URL hyperlink, but sadly most isn't. Of course I could save it then upload to image hosting. Then back again to first problem, can't upload image from Safari, cheers. I hope Apple add copy image address, same with Safari desktop. Even if they can't bring back some behaviour of iOS 7. I really need this copy image address thing.

There is also some rare case Safari hung up in typing area of forum/image board when I'm trying to copy paste and delete a word. While I say rare this actually happen 3 times and I haven't using iOS 8 more than 72 hours.

I haven't try other browser. If someone knew other browser working fine in iOS 8, let me know.

I have the same problem. I can't work anymore with my I Pad. It is frustrating because before the upgrade it was fast, easy to copy paste. Now when I am writing is terribly slow, and when I am finishing my work the screen freezes like the old computers. When I turn it on it takes several minutes. The screen sometimes turns black. I regret I decided to upgrade, but some apps needed IOS 8.2 so I did it.

November 5th and still iOS 8.1 causes Safari to slow up or freeze or time out on my iPad, 3rd generation, 64GB. Hard resets, wiping Safari history and data, turning WiFi off and on allow only a few minutes improvement. Safari running on three other iOS devices in same environment are as good as ever running iOS 7.1.2. When is this going to be fixed?

my ipad mini became cripple since upgrade to ios 8.2, and the most frustrating bug is that copy/paste of links in Safari does not work properly ! shame shame shame apple ios development team... I tried several times to reboot the ipad, to paste copied links first to the notebook, clean the ipad memory, to cut the link rather than to copy, to copy several times the same link ... it's terrible that such important functionality, or the management of the clipboard, and invented by Apple during the mid 80ties becomes cripples in 2014. To date I saw no added value of ios 8 vs ios 7

i guess misery loves company, I came here to see if there were others having Safari / iOS 8.x problems and if there were any solutions. The cut / copy / paste, Safari lockups and general system stalls are really impacting the iOS experience. I guess we can be thankful they've given us a place to commiserate (we should give a prize to the first person to report its been fixed). 8~/

A week ago, my Ipad mini was working OK with Safari on ATT/Yahoo mail, then the periodic Yahoo request for the ID resulted in not recognizing my longtime password. My wife's Ipad Air still worked on her Yahoo mail, as did our PC's. After getting nowhere for awhile, I changed the password. Same result. I have since updated from 8.0 to the latest, reloaded the mail app, purged the memory, reset, shut off ICloud, and tried anything that I could think of, but although Safari will now boot up into my Yahoo mail homepage, it does so very slowly (30-60 seconds to showing messages) and does not finish to where I can read or manipulate messages. Safari does seem to work OK on other URL's. So where's the problem?

I can use the latest Yahoo mail app with no problem, but I liked using Safari for everything, so will be happy for any suggestions to try. Are Safari, 8.xx, the mini and Yahoo now incompatible?

Was FINALLY able to get Safari working with Yahoo mail again. Mainly, I wondered why our other Ipad Air worked and my Mini didn't, and it seems likely that my problem started because I updated the Mini to 8.12, while the Air is still 7.16. It seems apparent that the Yahoo mail setup does not work with 8.12. By installing Chrome, I was finally able to get to a working Yahoo mail page, so I copied the exact URL at that point into Safari as a bookmark. Everything now works with decent speed, just as it did under 7.x

The exact URL (except for the two letters xx which I think are my initials): https://m.mg.mail.yahoo.com/xx/?.intl=us&.tsrc=attempt

(note the periods after ? and & ; they are nearly invisible in my font)

I believe the part after "com" is missing or incorrect when going thru Settings/Mail/Add Account to initiate Yahoo! under 8.12. Only entering it as above ever worked; otherwise, the mail page came up excruciatingly slowly and usually crashed at the last. Hope this helps a few.
