iphone 6 plus pre-order delivery

Hi everyone!


I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 Plus (64GB Space Gray) on Sept 12th as early as I could (at 4:30 A.M. through the apple store app on my iPhone 5). I tried to order it earlier, but as many of us know the Apple store online was down. I was so very disappointed. During the checkout time, my estimated delivery was Oct 1 - Oct 6 and it would be available to ship in 7-10 business days. My email confirmation stated the same thing.


This is also my first time I have ever pre-ordered an iPhone. My current phone is in pretty bad shape. The menu button popped off a couple weeks ago (it's currently being held on with scotch tape...lmao) and my screen freezes up all the time. I'm lucky if I can answer phone calls. Its not reliable at all to say the least. I have been trying to hold out for the new iPhone 6.


I have been checking my order status relentlessly since I pre-ordered and of course, it still says "Processing Items", with the same estimated delivery date and shipping time. I'm am desperately hoping it arrives earlier than October 1st - October 6th?!


Do any of you know if I will ONLY be getting my phone during Oct 1 - Oct 6 or do I have a chance of getting it earlier?

Does anyone know where all they usually ship from?

Do they usually ship via Fedex or UPS?

Okay, no more complaining. Got my shipment information just after mid-night last night. UPS says Friday the 3rd. Not sure how that's going to happen, considering it just got on it's first airplane a few hours ago from China & I'm sitting on the IL/IA boarder, but what the heck...if it does happen, I'll be one happy camper considering it will be here 10 days early! If it doesn't arrive until next Monday, then I'll be disappointed once again :-(

What totally blows my mind is Apple can make a phone that talks to you and read your fingerprint but they can't wrap their minds around the logistics of processing and shipping several MILLION phones either. They don't get the whole preorder thing! You preorder and they're constantly stocking their stores Tues-Sat according to what a store clerk told me but yet they don't have anything available to ship to you until a month later.

I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 + 64 GB in gold on the 12th around 10:00 AM CST. I stayed up all night the night before to try to get my order in at 2 AM (12 AM PST) but Apple's site was down until almost 3 AM CST when I got tired of waiting & just went to bed. I was able to access AT&T's website before 12 AM but I read that if I had preordered from them, they would've changed my data plan from the unlimited data plan that I have been grandfathered on for years now. If I ordered directly from Apple, that plan didn't change. So I ordered directly from Apple & their site said they were processing my order for about a week with a delivery date of Oct 13-20. On 9/25 the status changed to preparing for shipment. That stayed until about 1:30 AM on Saturday morning when it changed to shipped & I got the notification email from Apple that my order had been shipped via UPS. Apple's site is giving me a delivery date of 10/6, but UPS is saying EOD on 10/2.


I did read somewhere that if you go to UPS or FedEx's websites & track by reference & use your phone number as the reference number with no spaces or dashes it should be able to give you shipping information like when the label was created & the phone was picked up for shipment. Apple is using FedEx & UPS as carriers for phones being shipped from China, which is where my 6+ is coming from. I did test this method on UPS & found that it will pull up tracking information. Come on Thursday!!!

see this is complete BS. i pre ordered my iphone 6 plus 64gb space gray from verizon over the phone on 9/17 around 1pm est and my order status still says its being processed and ship date is 10/31 and still hasnt changed at all but this guy doesnt even pre order it and hes getting his phone in a few days and mine hasnt even shipped and the status has yet to change at all. ive gotten not one email regarding my device and shipping details and my credit card has yet to be charged. ive also been a verizon customer for about 15 years also. i just dont understand how people that didnt even pre order their 6 and 6 plus are getting it before us who pre ordered them. seriously come on Apple and verizon. i guess its not on a first come first serve basis which is utterly stupid.

Well lucky me. I reported last week that my status had been changed to preparing to ship...WRONG!!! I spoke to an AT&T rep and she said the website is wrong that my order is actually still in progress. There is no telling when I might get my phone. I think at this point I should just communicate via carrier pigeon and be done with it. I've tried to stay patient but after today I am extremely P****ED.
