Calendar is showing GMT after iOS 8 update

I have updated to iOS 8 on my iPad 3. After the update, my calendar items in the Notification center as well as the Calendar app are listing appointments as GMT. (Screen shot attached - well, I guess not. Insert button is not working now...)

I have set the General Date/Time to my current time zone (GMT -7) as well as the default time in Mail, Calendars and Contacts numerous tims as well as restarted the iPad.

Any suggestions?

After speaking with Apple Support at length in Dec., we determined in was not the IOS Calendar but rather my Google calendar. Google has since fixed this issue, as evident in my recent dates not having any GMT listing in my IOS Calendar. But still, my older dates all had the GMT time. I stumbled on a solution, other than going into each date and editing all.

FIrst, make sure your Google calendar is synced. Then go to you iPhone or iPad's Setting-->Mail, Contacts, Calendars. There unders Calendars, scroll down to "Sync." Most people will have it set to "All Events," but change it to say "Events 2 Weeks Back." Check your IOS Calendar -- yes, it will show only 2-weeks worth of events, but the GMT listing will be gone. Then go back into Settings--> Mail Contacts, Calendars and changed the "Sync" to say "Events 3 Months Back." Keep checking your IOS Calendar and then changing your "Sync" until you have Sync "All Events." All the GMT references should be gone.

I Do hope this helps. I was so relieved to finally have my IOS Calendar back to normal.

I have tried everything on this thread as well as everything I can find online from multiple threads.

Nothing corrects this issue so far. I've tried all the switching of time zone support, the removing and re-subscribing, switching to syn events 2 weeks back...everything I can find. Nothing corrects the issue.

Just to reiterate.

My company uses Outlook (most recent version Office 365 but the GMT issue has been here long before we switched to 365).

I send an invitation from my Outlook Calendar to my iPhone 6+ and my iPad Air (Both Devices running 8.3)

I tap the link in the email. The calendars indicate they are subscribed.

View the events... all subscribed events are in GMT and have the "show as" (Free, Busy, etc) as the title of the event.

I would dearly LOVE to use a single app (iOS Calendar would be good) on my devices so I don't have to switch back and forth. I know, that seems like a basic thing but I feel that Apple needs to read it.

IF Apple actually reads these threads, PLEASE help!

This is an APPLE issue. We, the customers are very tired of the fights between Apple and Microsoft (or Google or ....) Just FIX the issue so we can move on with life!

PLEASE?!?

I also "had" the same problem on my Mac and iOS device

I'm living in Istanbul and my current Time Zone is +3.

When I receive an appointment from my colleagues, all appointment time shifting to one hour. Original appointment's time 13:30, but my calendar showing at 14:30 with (GMT +2) description.

I tried too many things (deleting account, changing Time Zone Support etc) but doesnt solve my problem.

My solution is:

Athens has same Time Zone like Istanbul, GMT +3.

When I change my Time Zone to Athens from Istanbul on my iPhone and Mac, all calendar issues gone away.

Been dealing with same issue. Would list correct time in contacts, but then gmail would send email to me in GMT. I tried all these things too. Last one I tried was:

Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone

From here I turned off automatic time zone, and then typed in the city. I created a test event, and the email came back correct.

Just keep trying stuff until something works!?!?? Yay for consistent technology :-P
