Why has PocketMoney by Catamount (which I purchased in 2011) been removed from app store?

I just viewed the tutorial on PM for Mac. It seems that the first sync has to be initiated from the iPhone app - which I don't have any more!

Any other way of getting the iCloud backup file into PM for Mac?

Pocket Money by Catamount changed to Pocket Expense and they are trying to make everyone pay for the app again.

What makes you think it's the same thing.

.... and if so, can I import the back up PocketMoney file from iCloud?

I think Pocket Expense used to exist along with Pocket Money. Anyway, if they would develop some way to open my Pocket Money files, I wouldn't mind getting Pocket Expense.

PocketMoney is back in the App Store. Not updated though. But it is still nice.
