Can I use an iPhone 6 under metro pcs

I have an LG Spirit 4G LTE and was wondering if I can simply switch the SIM card from Spirit to iPhone 6 (or 6 Plus). If not so simple, then is it even possible to have an iPhone in metro pcs?

Yes, the iPhone works on metroPCS. The LG Spirit 4G, however, uses CDMA technology, and the iPhone 6 uses GSM (T-Mobile). All you have to do is buy a T-Mobile iPhone and a GSM sim card (available at any metroPCS dealer). There, you can switch your LG Spirit 4G to the iPhone. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! I have been so frustrated with Metro because my new Iphone 6 plus S was only getting 3G with Metro and it was suppose to get 4G service. I contacted Metro and they tried trouble shooting the issue and could not figure out why I was not getting the 4G service. They went so far as to tell me that my phone was not compatible with their service (SMH). Then I googled the issue and came up with your comment. I did as you instructed and guess what? It worked!!! Thank you!🙂

Hello :)))

This information is directly from Apple and from more than one representative. I stumbled on this so rather than read through everything I'm just going to respond to what I believe I'm mostly seeing, is incorrect.

So according to Apple and using MetroPCS as the example if you have an iphone 6 or later version and by the way check that it isn't also for a 5, but I have a 6 and they are not locked; you can go anywhere with your phone and switch!!! Also according to MetroPCS if you're in a contract they'll pay your way out. Hope this helps somebody.
