LTE is not working on iPhone 6 plus

i just got the iPhone 6 plus and it seems like it's not connecting to LTE. I only see 4G icon showing even though my daughter's iPhone 5 is displaying LTE on her phone. Is this a carrier issue or the iPhone?

Peter,

You say what you like, it is a free country. I have TWO iPhone 6 plus and I switched to Ting on the same day and BOTH had the same issue. And guess what else? When I followed the earlier suggestion, BOTH phones connected to LTE. Now - it is within the sphere of probability to say that when you tried the sequence using (1) phone, it could have been a coincidence. However, when two pieces of hardware exhibit the same problem and both are solved using the same procedure - in addition to the others folks who replied with equally measure of success - it is most likely you are wrong.

So - unless you have positive input, a different process, or an explanation you can share, please spare us the fruitlessness of your comments.

Thanks for the info everyone - I did an IOS 8.3 update back on June 1st, and everything was fine. Then I realized while monkeying with my phone about 1.5 weeks later that there was a "voice and data" option.

I wish I'd never done that.

Since then, I've done repeated restores, and on/offs for just about every setting, but to no avail: my phone will go from 5 bars to none to 2 to none to 5 ... you get the idea - except this is entirely within the same minute, in a place that I used to have perfect 5 bar service.

It makes sense that I accidentally enabled something with my carrier; it doesn't make sense that turning the feature back off means I'd still have the same problems... until I realized that it may be because it's now "enabled" on my verizon account and I can't even check without being punted to a different Verizon area I need to even register to get into (forget what it's called, but I have to sign up separately.)

Either way, I'll be stopping by the Verizon store tomorrow and the Apple store on Wednesday, and I might try one more full reset but not accept my "carrier update" and see what happens.

Regardless, this has been an absolutely horrible experience, and I hope Apple's working the problem too - because even if it is Verizon's fault, until I found this thread I'd seriously thought that my iPhone 6 would be my last Apple phone.

Hi All,

I have 2 sim cards and both are showing LTE on my iPhone 6, but when I put them in my 6+, its just showing 3G. I am feeling frustrated on this choice of phone. I am a die hard Apple fan but this has turned me down. I tried formatting and restoring through iTunes, resetting the settings but nothing worked. I upgraded to 8.4 but all in vain.

Please suggest if this is a hardware issue with 6+

Hey all, additional Info which may be useful to a lot of you who face the same problem. If your phone supports LTE and your service provider supports LTE for iPhone 6 or 6 plus does not guarantee that you will get LTE.

There are specific Model numbers given at the back of each iPhone, check with your service provider (wherever you are travelling or living) if the provider supports this specific model of iPhone. In case of Airtel, they support A1524 and A1593 of 6Plus. (so its something similar to a software which is Unix Based but requires a specific Java version to run on ;-) )

You will never get to know about this without wasting 3 full days.

I had the same problem with our iPhone 6+. I tried everything in the thread: shut off/turn on, hard reset, remove SIM card/replace/hard reset, Airplane mode on/off, reset network settings, etc. I just got off of the phone with AT&T and our problem has been fixed.

My husband broke his phone and switched service to an old iPhone 4 while we waited for insurance to send a replacement. The 4 was only connected and used for 2-3 days. When we connected the 4, we had to go to AT&T for a new SIM card, then another new SIM was sent with the new 6+. We connected the 6+ and one day later had no cellular connectivity. After trying resets on my own, I called AT&T to see if they could send a reset. In our case, when we activated the new 6+, the ICCID was not done correctly. Something about downgrading to the 4 then back to the 6+...

Just some info for anyone having similar issue.
