iPhone 6 Plus problem - stuck volume button

Just got my 6 Plus - the volume up button randomly sticks and either turns the volume all the way up or the ringer. Worse - if I press on the upper-right corner it does the same thing. Seems like a bad board. Anyone else seeing this or did I just get a bum unit? On hold with Apple Care as I type this.... Disappointing end to an exciting day.

I Had this problem with my iPhone 6 just now. It only effected my volume (constantly raising the volume). A restart fixed it. Seemd like a software problem as the buttons physically seemed ok.

I have this problem too. My phone is stuck on highest volume and won't turn down. Everything is on loudest volume.

I took it to the Apple Store and the "genius" who helped me said it was a problem with the frame having an invisible dent and they would not fix nor cover the repair. His only solution was to have me replace my phone at my own expense! When I said I would pay for a repair, he said it would void the warranty... the warranty that they said wouldn't cover the problem anyway.

After seeing others are having this issue I am going back to the store. Thanks for posting this.

No matter how hard I hit, throw or bend my iPhone 6 the volume is stuck. ITS VERY FRUSTATING. The OS has a check that when you press a volume button, other inputs (THE OTHER VOLUME BUTTON) will get disabled, but this bug not only permits itself to overwrite any input, it switches between my input and the input that's stuck at a very fast interval.

Since the volume is always stuck at the highest point, will Apple pay for my hearing aids? Just kidding but I would love to see it fixed. Don't know for sure if I filed a radar about it but I will do so and you should too if you're experiencing this bug.

I've had this problem ever since i got my iPhone 6. My interpretation of the problem is that quite frequently if i accidentally press the volume up button and the power button at the same time, a bug causes the volume to max out and get stuck there - blasting my ears in the process. only a reboot fixes the problem.

Because of the new position of the power button exactly opposite the volume button it is very difficult not to press both at the same time, especially if phone is in pocket my and I'm listening to music when trying to adjust.

Very frustrating.

1. why the **** is the button there anyhow? and 2. Why hasn't this bug been fixed yet?

Didn't consider this a hardware problem in terms of the volume sticking, but i guess i could be wrong.

Might take it in to the store.

thoughts anyone?

Same problem here. I'll have to try out your theory regarding the power button being pressed simultaneously.

I don't get the whole power button thing too. The iPad is much larger and still has the power button on the top. In fact, switching between the two is just confusing, since I go to press the power button on my iPad now and end up turning up/down the volume instead.
